Cat got my tongue, I couldn't speak if I tried. You cross the room, And only I notice you. I know you see me, But you don't stare like I do. I am entranced by you. I am falling head over feet. I am not sure where this will lead me, But I am following. The doors open, And the dance begins. I stand and watch you move across the floor. The way you move seems like you are floating. I can't help, But feel my jealousy flare. I don't know how you do it to me. I don't know why I care. The night is slowing. The beat is closing, And you are standing still at last. I just stand there and stare. You finally walk over my way, But you only take my hand. The kiss is gentle on my hand as you slowly release my hand. I wish for it to still be there. You beg me to follow you, And I do. You don't know what you do to me. The emotion runs high as the moon glows into the night, And we finally dance. Dance together or dance alone I'll never know. We danced, And we danced. We parted as the sun rised, And moon slowly faded. You leave as I reach out to touch your face. I never see you after the sun rises, But I always see you at night. The night shall come, And my dream of you will return, But just like all things it will come in my night dreams.
