| Heart Disease
Author: Ilsa Immerman A silly sonnet about love. Doesn't flow too well but I'm too lazy to fix it.

Heart Disease
Captivated by the endearing lie
Ensnaring web of morbid obsession
Catatonic daze as each day flies by
The haunted eyes of silent confession
To each their own as they burn in desire
The heart is a muscle, it cannot see
One with the dying embers of the fire
Loneliness is the fate of you and me
The heart's lie begets a covetous joy
If not for more than a mere heartbeat's time
The strong, cold and weak all fall to this ploy
All the victims of the heart muscle's crime
And when the heart muscle begins to bleed
Convince yourself that love is all you need
