##Naïve Direction##

There are people who love

There are people who leave

There are those who speak truth

There are those who deceive

There are questions unasked

There are lies that remain

There's a white cloth beneath

The pomegranate's stain

How do you choose, please?

What do you know?

If they will not come, now

What does that show?

The world is of muses

And those who would be

Full of those not blinded

Who choose not to see

Change comes of choices

And some not at all

When the pieces are gathered

They've only to fall

The decision is yours, dear

If you choose it to be

Keep true to beliefs

That I seldom will see

And if all is in vain

And if all is to dust

If all work is done

And then goes to rust

At least you won't see it

Won't be here to see

The pain that results

From work worthless to me
