Gazing through a window, now it's 3 a.m., not exactly sure what to do.
Thinking about life and where you're going in it, options, choices, eyes on you.
And as the cars go by, passing by, slowly, quickly, nothing in life seems fair.
You're thinking: "Why don't they like me, why her, why them, and not me? Is it something in the air?"
Is it my hair?
My face?
My body?
In a race
That I just can't seem to beat.
Is it my life?
My love?
My intelligence?
This space
For rent- I need someone who needs.
Me.
Still staring out the window at the people, cars, houses, opportunities.
That have passed you by, because you need a guy who'll love you for you, you see.
What's so wrong with being different, shouldn't everybody try new things, a little now and then?
Can't they see you for the real you and not just the pretend-
That--------
It's my hair.
My face.
My body.
In a race
That I just can't seem to beat.
Is it my life?
My love?
My intelligence?
This space
For rent- I need someone who needs.
Me.
You'll be okay.
There will be someone-
There is for everyone
Who's tried a million times before.
You'll be okay.
They say opposites attract,
But, hey, maybe
He's already standing at the door.
Is it my hair?
My face?
My body?
In a race
That I just can't seem to beat.
Is it my life?
My love?
My intelligence?
This space
For rent- I need someone who needs.
Me.
