[Chapter 1: Lost until Found]
The world of Baizein was quiet except the forest . . . it rustled with the winds voice as it called for someone, anyone that would listen . . . and someone did.
A little girl about the age 3 ran through the trees, and past her way through a thorn bush, which she had cut herself, leaving a blood trail.
The wind murmured some words, chanting.
The girl ran, panting, moving in the darkness not knowing what to expect next, and only hoping for some further darkness so you can find more ground to run on. Darkness because she was scared of what she would find in the light . . .
She couldn’t outrun those wolves that were attacking her, swiftly running. The little girl looked back and saw only the polished white teeth of the wolves. She couldn’t run any longer and she blacked out on the floor.

The little girl woke up; she had been lying down on the grass and saw a fire burning from a distance. She sat up slowly and rubbed her eyes. She looked around in confusion, “H-how did I get here?” she asked herself. A voice answered her and made her jump, “I found you just in time” said the voice. The little girl looked around scared, “Where are you?” She looked around her eyes widened with fear, “Where are you? Answer me!” she yelled. The voice replied again, “Chill. I’m right over here”. The little girl looked where she heard the young voice, “Oh” she replied. There sitting next to the fire was a little boy around the age of six or older, with dark hair that reflected the fire and moon’s light.
“I-I uh, thank you!” she smiled happily, “. . . for saving my life!”. The little boy looked at the little girl, her messy dark crimson hair covered her shoulders and shadowed her eyes from view, though the boy could see the girl’s bright pink/orange eyes peering at him. “uh, your welcome” he said, and they both stood quiet for a while until the little girl broke the silence, “What’s your name?” she asked cheerfully. “Iyasu” he said simply. “Oh” she stood quietly waiting for the boy to ask her what her name was, but he didn’t. “Arentcha gonna ask me what my name is???” she stood up. “No I wasn’t actually” he replied coldly. Though he saw her face, she seemed sort of disappointed. “Fine” he began, “What is your name?” he asked as if he was being forced to do so. The girl jumped up happily, “My name is Kousai! Nice to meet ya!” she ran over and shook his hand joyfully and suddenly hugged him. “What are you doing? Get off!” the boy quickly grabbed her and pushed her away immediately. “Oh well it was nice to meet you, bye!” the little girl ran off suddenly. The little boy blinked in puzzlement, ‘What was that all about?’ It took sometime for Iyasu to realize that his money that he had kept in his pocket was stolen. “KOUSAI!”

“Heh, what a sucker” the little girl counted the money as she walked calmly through the forest, seemingly forgotten about the wolves earlier and knowing she was out of Iyasu’s reach. She had stopped when she heard a rustling noise in a nearby bush. She looked around and saw nothing, she then walked even faster, but stopped when she heard the rustling of the bushes once more. She put the money in her animal skin pocket and took a fighting stance, she knew it wasn’t the wolves, she wasn’t scared of anything accept the wolves. Something had stepped out of the bush, a large man with a huge sword, “I heard a lot about you kid” he laughed out, “Given us bandits a hard time”. Kousai wrinkled her little nose, “I’m not a kid!” she ran past him and took stance from behind him. The man was big, but slow and Kousai knew that she had a BIG advantage toward this. She was small and nimble, too fast for a man like him. She jumped on the tree bark not to far away and bounced off attacking his head, making him fall with a thud. “Well that was easy” she laughed to herself. She searched the unconscious man for any money or valuables that he may have put in his pockets. In the end, she found what she was looking for, five gold coins and two pieces of candy. She got up, turned around, and bumped into Iyasu. “Oh-oh h-hi” she smiled nervously. The boy’s eyes darkened with anger, “That’s my job” he said and snatched the coins she had in her hands. “HEY! That’s mine!” she pouted. The boy came close to the girl, making her blush, he then put his hand in her pockets taking out his stolen money, “And this is mine”. The little girl stomped her feet, “That’s not fair! What am I supposta eat?”
“The candy” Iyasu said walking away.
Kousai cured Iyasu under her breath, she hated being defeated so easily, “Argh . . .” she clenched her fist and saw him walk away in the distance. She ran to him, “Dun’ leave me here, lemme go with ya” she said blissfully as if nothing happened, as if she did nothing. The boy glanced at her still walking, “No”
“Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaassssssssssssssssssseeeeeeeeeeeeee” she whined.
“No”
“But there are . . . wolves here” she said clutching onto his shirt.
He shook her off, “That didn’t seem to bother you before”
She pouted again, “But I forgot before”
“Then forget again”
Kousai stopped in her tracks and watched Iyasu march off uninterested in her well-being, “I HOPE THE WOLVES FIND YOU!” she yelled at him. She stood there watching him until she couldn’t see him anymore. She turned around only to see a whole pack of wolves standing there, saliva dripping from their open mouths. Kousai stood there in shock and finally ran, “AH! IYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAASSSSSSUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” she ran and ran until she finally saw Iyasu there looking back to see the frantic Kousai. She ran pass him, “Help me!” she yelled. The boy took out what seemed to be a long bamboo like stick, though it was jet black. He twisted the middle and then two sword like blades came out from both ends. He swiftly striked all the wolves until they are laid dead on the floor.
Kousai’s mouth dropped open, “Wow . . .” she glanced at the boy in amazement, he acted as if he did nothing spectacular or as if he done this a million times before. “That was COOL!” Kousai jumped up and down, squealing like a little girl {A/N: Oh wait she is a little girl . . .} the boy kept walking and Kousai with him.
