A/N: This was just something I thought up when I was feeling down. It's depressing, I know. It could be true in other parts of the world that I don't really know much about, but it is something that shouldn't be pushed out of the way, out of our heads or be forgotten. This is about war, and war is not cool. This is my work, so please do not copy! Please read and review.

* The World Today *

The world today,
Is so messed up.
Our lives today
Are interrupt.

The world today,
Is filled with hate.
All happiness is gone,
It is too late.

The world today,
Is consumed with wars.
Our bodies die
From open sores.

The world today,
Cries for peace.
All life suffers
To say the least.

The world today,
No longer soars.
It is filled with
Earthy gores.

The world today,
Is drenched with blood.
It mixes with
The growing mud.

The world today,
Sobs in pain.
Man has destroyed everything
Left to gain.

The world today,
Is not what it seems.
How much longer must we wait...
Before we hear the screams?

That last paragraph is about those of us who don't have to worry about war and pain. When will we hear about the pain and suffering? TV shows show some issues, but leave out a lot of gore so we don't feel too helpless about not being able to do anything. We will never truly understand what is happening around the world, until we see for ourselves.
