1. (and you fall)

Can you believe this broken day?

I see when from the heavens falls

An angel, winged with satin lies

Unable to fly

On dusty ground alone

The eyes of he-

The eyes denied

Of all the wonder once possessed

Are filled with rage and

Endless pain

His satin wings are gone

Clear once was the water ran

Within his veins

The tears of god

But now he drinks of human blood

Anxious for their dreams

That they might help these wings to grow

And lead him back to grace

Oh, in rage and pain you are

More beautiful than all the rest

So place your lips upon my wrist

And drink my shining dreams

I gasp to see

The black and purple satin wings

You see within my veins

And smile to watch you take it all

Into your hopeless grasp

And if I could teach you grateful lust

Maybe you’d be free

To rise on wings of blood and breath

And look upon his face

With wretched love and stunning grace

Here lies your lover’s irony

In that I will be the one he sees

And you will only have my dreams
