The Mysteriousness of the Mountain

Climbing the interminableness yet spirited mountain is not an easy task. I must

go through a nightmare of eerie, dangerous fog. I can’t tell what lies beneath the

deadly, mysterious fog, but I keep my pace, staggering at times over jagged rocks. The

dark, gloom of the valleys seem lonely. The tense trees seem lost and seem to wish to

hold on to something just to feel more secure. In the deep despair of it all, there is one

single mountain which aims his distorted finger of rock to the sky, the enchanted,

exquisite sky. How odd that the firmament can hold itself so straight over such a jagged

wasteland, and from the aura of beauty comes a ray of hope from the silver stream, far

off, the bright cyan blue of distinct sky. And though it is silent, so very silent, I am not

lonely nor afraid for the cyan blue sky is watching me as though a great angel. Then,

through the deep silence, something stirs and returns me to reality. A strange figure

lurks in the darkness. As it came forward, away from the dreadful fog, I could tell what

was lurking in the mists. A humongeous panda appeared from the curtain of fog. It’s

jagged, fierce teeth shown that death was stalking me. It’s acute eyes glared at my

puny body. It was ready to attack. I grabbed to two dry branches. It charged. Blazing

fire erupted from them as I struck them together. The ferocious panda flung back in

surprise. As I drew the giant beast out of sight, I knew death was no longer stalking me.

I actually wrote this 11/15/00, but I finally decided to post this today, 9/2/02, because
I figured some people would enjoy it, not matter how short this fic actually was. Review!
