Something I wrote while lying upside down on my bed and staring at my last year’s class photo. : )

Do you

Recognize me

When you see me?

And can I

Identify you

When I see you?

Like a caterpillar to a butterfly,

You have changed,

And like a seed to a flower,

So have I.

Who is to be blamed, you or me?

Who is at fault, me or you?

The hands of fate has moulded us,

Though we were hard clay,

Stubborn being,

Yet the hands triumph.

When once we are one,

Now we are not.

Different we have become,

Like earth and sky,

Fire and ice,

Life … and death.

We are at crossroads,

I know you will go that way,

Just as you know I will walk down the other.

Childhood memories mean nothing now,

Do they?

Reality had stepped in.

We are awakened.

So long, my friend.

This is my farewell to you.

Once our paths were entwined,

Concreted together.

Then there were cracks,

And now they are nonexistent.

But there are other paths,

We will each take ours.

Someday, maybe our paths will cross,

And at that time,

Will I recognize you,

And will you identify me?

Pls review!
