It started off with the verse “Let the wind be your compass and the stars your guide.” It ended in this poem…ah well. Enjoy.
Blue Yonder
A poem to accompany “The Great Wars of the World”
Should the wilderness tempt you, and the forest beckon,
It's the spirit of adventure with which you shall reckon.
If the mountains sing and the seas call,
Don't wait, don't be late, it will be your fall!
Leave every mystery no place to hide,
Let the wind be your compass and the stars your guide.
Don't pause to think, don't pause to ponder,
Spread your wings, fly into the blue yonder.
With enemies hated and friends so dear,
Together overcoming, facing your fear.
Just believe in yourself, let your dreams take wing,
Don't pause, don't stop for anything.
Though we may stumble we will always rise,
Together forever, our enemies demise.
Though the storms may slow and the typhoon delay,
Don't hesitate, don't wait, be on your way!
Along the way many trials shall arise,
But don't lose hope, face the red sunrise!
Together we'll stand, apart we will fall,
Join hands together, forward with our all!
It's okay to rest and reminisces,
But once that is over, arise, arise!
Forward to the future, the bright shining star,
No matter how difficult, no matter how far.
Though allies may fall, and enemies win,
Don't giving up hope, continue, begin!
Run through the mountains, and over the hills,
This battle, this challenge, is a test of wills!
Some many see us, and offer their thanks,
Others forget, ignore, draw blanks.
But and once this is over, finished, done,
We know we've done it, together as one.
