So cool! This is my first original! Well, actually not my first first, but it's the only original that I ever thought of having other people read and review. So yeah...this is the prologue and I hope you like the first part of this [most likely] novel length short story. (like that made any sense! ^^;)

So please read and review! Enjoy ^ ~

Prologue: In a Distant Time From Now

It is a cold and windy night. The stars blanket the night sky with their brilliance. Above the Leviathan Mountains, the eerie full moon is the only light. The trees below rustle in the strong winds and every now and then there is a great howl between the unearthly silences. As the wind blows, there is a faint smell of the ocean and the cold dry air makes the silence more unnerving. This is my homeland, my life, and my planet.

"Sophia! Your highness!" Calls out a shadowy figure from a dark castle window, "Please, princess! Come inside before you catch yourself a cold! Why must you always sit out so far on the ledge every night?"

I ignore the call and only stare out into the beautiful night sky. I hear the voice again from the window, beckoning for me to return inside. I recognize the voice to be one of my handmaidens who take care of me from dawn until dusk. They wait on my every hand on foot, fulfilling my requests and informing me of my tasks for the day. They only exist to form a mother like figure since I never had a mother. I was born into a prophecy where I was not even born from a human being.

I may be treated like royalty, but I feel the exact opposite. Being royalty does not mean that you are free and have an enchanted life; it means to be trapped in a world of orders, dependence, and followers. But this is my life and I have learned to accept it. I cannot spend the rest of my life staring out of the window waiting for my knight in shining armor to come and rescue me from this life. This is my destiny, my fate. I will be treated like an object of power and nothing less. I will be called names that I do not deserve and nothing more. I used to deny what I was, what I became, but now I cannot escape my destiny or myself. My planet needs an object of power, an object of elegance. Without me, this world of mine would crumble and my people would be nothing more than defenseless weaklings.

"Princess Sophia!!" The call comes out again asking for my return.

There it is, that name again, "Sophia". My curse. It was to be my given name when I was born after the celebration of birth, but I was snatched away from my own home into a life of happiness. Reborn into a family and given a real name, I was. A human name was given to me, one that will always remain my name after I was given my prophesied name. Wise elders who were the first rulers of my planet and other planets told me about my reincarnation several years ago.

When I first accepted my destiny, they told me about my history and why I never knew about my true meaning in life. I was young and naïve. I had no idea how tough my life would become after accepting my real life.

"Please tell me, wise elders. Why must I accept my destiny? My origin did not come from this place; I was not born here. This is a different time for me, why must I accept my 'maiden' name?" These were only a few of my questions after I accepted my position as high priestess.

The wise elders only smiled and the chair representative spoke forward, "My dear princess, you have much to learn. Your origin goes farther back than any other. You were born at this time, princess. For it was seventeen years ago, since I laid my eyes on your beautiful angelic face when you were born. In this world, it was only the 22nd of August, in the year 9001."

Another elder spoke up, "That was the year of the prophesied birth. You and five other children were born on this same day. It was no ordinary birth, for you my sweet child. The ancient and mystic powers of this world had summoned themselves together to conceive you to be the ultimate guardian and warrior of our planet."

Then another elder spoke, "Although, it was supposed to be a time of rest and peace. The spirits on our planet felt danger throughout our galaxy and created you. Four other worlds, Fantasy, Futuristic, Medieval, and Ancient Japan, made the same decision. The only one without a conceived child was the demonic world, 'Pluto.' This world was full of the dead, creatures with unknown powers, and beings that haunt our nightmares."

Again, a different elder spoke, "You were born as the high priestess of our planet, Earth. Two others, Circe and Yuki, both twins, were born as the enchantress and wizard of their fantasy world, Laorien. On the futuristic world, Coseth, the Lord of the planet was to be named Searg. Neolith, the medieval world, conceived a new prince, Sano; on the ancient Japan world, a half demon priestess was born, Kaoru."

The wisest one spoke once more, "But, the demonic world, Pluto, sensed the new born beings and sent hideous creatures onto our worlds. They took you from your homes and created a time portal. The demons took you to the year 1985 and left you there. There you were reborn into humans all except for one, the one from feudal Japan. Sensing her demonic powers, the demon carrying her was the most sinister of them all. It took her to a desecrating dimension full of pain and suffering. We discovered your disappearances on the night of the celebration of your birth. We found the demons and exterminated them. We had spent all night and day searching for our precious children, but it was too late when we found you. All six of you were taken into homes and the time portal had closed. We had to watch you from behind closed doors as you grew in a house not worthy of your presence." The elder closed his eyes in disgust for he had finished his tale.

I now understand my strength and power, but I do not want to be their priestess anymore. I had loved my years of happiness before, but to return to the past would be the penalty of death since I have already accepted my new life.

To understand my eternal suffering, one must know of my life on the past Earth. My hardships, the enemies I had encountered, and my powers.

So, this is my story...

I hope you guys liked the prologue. I understand it is kind of loopy and I used the word "I" too much, but please understand that it was necessary to reach that emotional feeling of depression, loneliness, and sadness. And try not to pay attention to all of the planets and other children because I will introduce them later in a more understanding way and one by one so it's not too much information over your head. ^^

So please review and thank you for getting this far. ^^;
