The day I became a Goth

The day I became a Goth. As you will see. Was a very important day for me. When I woke up late. And looked at my blackened fate. As my makeup was caked. Onto my face and so I scraped. At my mascara over my eyes. But then I realised it covered my lies. That I'm a lovely person-I'm not. As if I were cheery and all that lot. But I realised then, right there. That if I added clothes of black-so rare. And kept up my scowl on my face. I could fit into a group in any case. So for now on I'll glare and moan. Get pierced and prodded, money on a loan. Dye my blonde hair black as night. All of it should give anyone but a fright. My only writing shall be of dark words. Of thy's and thous and black raven birds. But will everyone remember me then. As someone who's dark and then when. They think I'm normal and quite soft. Will they remember the day I became a Goth?
