A Madwoman's Plight

You run away from all your troubles,
you always think you can't sit still.
You feel your world begins to crumble,
and your eyes begin to fill.

You cry for more than just a little;
you know you've lived your life all wrong.
You think this world is harsh and fickle,
and you've been screaming the same sad song.

Your heart is shattered into pieces;
your mind was broken all along.
You try to smooth away the creases
that show you've searched for something gone.

You always try to hide your pain,
you never tell about your fears,
you're always running in the rain,
replacing love with bitter tears.
