By Demons Be Driven-

Preface

            She had been running for many years now.  The girl was tired of it and wished more than anything else to stop.  But to stop for her meant death.

            Poor Kamyla had been running from many things that people only dreamed about.  Things that made you wake up in the middle of the right screaming and crying, no matter what your age.

            Many times she had wished that she had born a normal girl with nothing to mark her “different” from the rest.  Things such as her hair that was such a light blonde it might as well of been white or her eyes, which were gray and looked empty and ageless.

            Many times she had nearly given up and fallen over the brink of total insanity, but she always found a foot hold of some sorts and managed to stay alive.

            As she walked down the street, she found that many people stared at her less since she had cut her hair short and put a bandana over it.  Her eyes still drew attention, though, and she would have to find a way to stop them from staring.

            Then again she could let them stare at her as much as they wanted to.  Her hunters would always manage to find her and she knew that one day they would catch her.  Last time she had barely escaped with her life.  They were getting smarter as she went along.

            She had recently signed into the new school that she would be attending until that day came.  Kamyla had told the school that her parents had died in a fire and she decided to move here to continue high school, which was only partly true.

            The girl pushed open the door of her “new home” and tossed her things on the couch near by.  Her thoughts wandered to that of her pursers and how they would find her.  For a second, as always, she felt a glimmer of hope that was immediately suppressed by another thought.

            That thought was, “Demons have their ways.”

            AN:  HELLO!!  As you can probably tell, I started another story and have not yet, as is with many others, finished any of my others.  I don’t know if I ever will, but, hey, it’s worth a try. UPDATED!!!
