SONG OF LIFE
by Naheka in an angst mood

Once I sat down to play,
Happy Song to make my day,
My fingers tenderly kissed the keys,
To erupt a song that can only please,

Dance,
Frolic,
Sing,
Play,
Happy Song, Happy Song to make my day,

But then I mistook C for it's sharp,
And Happy Song toppled off the cart,
Broken notes here and there,
Left the page blank and bare,
Disappearing off to who-knows-where,
Leaving Happy Song in darkened despair,

It crashed,

Now I am angry, pounding the keys,
Trying to pay off my furious fees,
Trying to destroy all of my work,
I don't care if I get hurt!

Too many faults!
Too many doubts!
Stop shouting! Stop shouting!
I can't take it anymore!

JUST STOP!

I watch my fingers as they bleed,
Staining, smothering, bloodying the keys,
Everything I tried to do,
Failed me, stabbed me, and now I'm through,
Someone tell me what to do...

Sad Song plays,

I lay dead on the floor.

The End
