Don't let it slip your mind

Never let it be forgotten,

That what I have become,

Was forged from the fires

Of things done that were so rotten,

And the worst of humanity.

What I have seen has changed me,

Made me strive,

To be that much better,

And if it ever came down to it,

I know I'm alone.

I am a lover at heart,

But out of circumstance,

Was the fighter formed,

Out of the need,

To protect what I was mine,

My love.

Only out of the bad,

Can the good come,

With out the shadow

How are we expected

To know the light,

Who I am,

Is a combination,

Of long walks,

Of deep talks,

And of brutal evil.

With out shadow,

How are we expected

To know the light,

My strength comes from the heart,

Where only the true strength comes from.
