To hold your hand

In my mind, but a dream

Together we are

In my mind, but a dream

Everything you are to me

And yet this you cannot see

For all it is

In my mind, but a dream

Wishing, fearing

You might see

The little hope inside of me

That someday

In my mind, but a dream

Will blossom into something more

Is there anything in store?

I think about you all the time

So I sit here with a crappy rhyme

Trying to get myself to say

That I love you

Shall I, one day?

Convinced that I will

In my mind, but a dream

For things are naught always as seem

In my mind, but a dream

A dream that you and I

Think as one

Lives and selves intertwined

And at the same time

In my mind, but a dream

A dream that disturbs me so greatly

There's still the child lurking within

Screaming always when

In my mind, but a dream

That you and I

Are close, so close

I love you, I fear you

Both in the same split

It is this

In my mind, but a dream

Tearing me up

Wanting to scream

I love you, I fear you

Chasing my tail

We dance, we kiss

In my mind, but a dream

For none of this is

Nor seems, will it be

Thoughts are there

And so are dreams

But none of them ever come to be

Or do they

So I still wait for tomorrow

In my mind, but a dream

A dream of he

And

I
