NEW YORK - Harry Potter fans, the rumors are true: Albus Dumbledore, master wizard and Headmaster of Hogwarts, is gay. J.K. Rowling, author of the mega-selling fantasy series that ended last summer, outed the beloved character Friday night while appearing before a full house at Carnegie Hall.

No Trust
I'm sure this won't have any effect on the ranks of the "Harry Potter is the Antichrist" crowd.

Just Dumbledore? Now that's shocking.

I consider this to be a typical case of an artist testing his or her limits (although in this case it's probably unconscious).

A perfect example of limit-testing is the Guns N' Roses song "One in a Million". The song is steeped in racism and bigotry, though Axl Rose (who wrote the song) has no such tendencies. Why, then, would he write such a song? The answer is fairly simple; Axl Rose said so himself. He used racial slurs because someone told him that he couldn't.
