Topic: Ideas for New Stories

Feel free to post your ideas here. If I'm interested, I'm sure we'll have a wonderful time writing the next science fiction masterpiece.

What kind of sci-fi did you have in mind? Space opera, post-apocalyptic, scifi/fantasy, scifi/western, etc. etc. I'm open to any and all possibilities. Personally, I always thought space operas or scifi/westerns would be fun to do. Group style, of course. I always wanted to colaborate on something too. Sounds peachy!

Wow, it never sent me an e-mail for your reply.

Anyways, I dabble in sci-fi/fantasy (although it's been awhile), and I usually work with near-future action-oriented stuff with a science-fiction foundation.

Sci-fi western? Well, I always liked Firefly. Space opera, though... I'm not sure. Could be fun, though. Any ideas?

Biological is always good. My last few stories have involved biological agents.

Actually I do have an idea, but I don't know if I should be telling people.

Something like a sci-fi approach to fantasy, i.e. using science to analyse magic. There is a world where there is some form of energy that grants the most powerful and hidden characters magic and they are treated like gods. A few scientists have discovered this and researched on it scientifically through experiments and studies and stuff like that. Of course the scientists have died, and some people have picked up their findings and began to find out for themselves and get into this fantasy vs science world.

I've had a really interesting attempt at it before, although I've lost it due to a lightning strike - I still remember a lot of it, it was really cool story. The suspense and all was crazy.

I had a good idea for a science-fiction story, or good is what I think of it. It's called "The Celestial Outbreak", and it's about an alien race called the Uirans (allied with humans) who discover the inhabitants of a planet are all infected by a seemingly sentient pathogen, giving them a hive-mind and forcing them to consume and infect other organisms. The Uirans study it, the humans fight it, and they learn something which, being a plot twist, can't be said here.

I've tried to write it alone to no avail, so . . . maybe it'll work with a collab? Anyway, if you're interested, let me know, please.
