My friend and I had some concern parent come up to us and ask "What do the cat ears symbolize ? What's their purpose ?Why do people wear them ?"

The worst one of all is " Are you a Pikachu (sp)?" This said by some newbie who did not have the common sense to keep her mouth shut when not knowing the character I was cosplaying .And no the only thing in my costume that resembled a pikachu was that it was yellow and I had a tail and ears . ( For God's sake I had PINK HAIR !!!) Stupid Newb .
