Topic: Learning to Play--OPEN
I'm thinking about learning to play the acoustic guitar. I don't have one, but my mom said that if I'm really interested, she'll find one and an instructor for me. I'm kind of excited.

That's amazing! Amazingly excellent, I'd call it. :p

My father can play the guitar. Actually, when he was young (like teenage-young adult years) he used to play bass in a band. However, since then his profficiency at the instrument has deteriorated a bit. Same with my mother and the piano (except she was never in a band.)

My parents were going to buy a piano and piano lessons for me. However, because of the summer school expenses that will hold off for a while.

My brother owns an acostic guitar, an electric guitar and a keyboard. My father is trying to teach him to play the guitars. Ty doesn't care much for the keyboard, although I'm trying to teach myself.

I would imagine so if he never got a chance to practice. Or maybe age affects dexterity.

Cool. I have a small keyboard at home, but I can only play very simple things. However, I am using the keyboard to figure out the notes to some songs. I written the melody for one ("Castle in the Mist"--Ico soundtrack) and I'm finishing up the same for another ("The Farthest Land"--Roar of the Earth: Shandow of the Colossus). In both either an acoustic guitar or an irish bouzouki (another plucked strick instrument) has the melody, so if I learn to play the acoustic, I'll have some songs I know to play.

It's the former.

Funessnessness! I kind of just mess around. I can't really play much though I wish I could. :p
