Topic: Avenged Sevenfold
So, it's a hard question to answer what your favorite band is. There's so much out there to listen to, but I would have to say Avenged Sevenfold is currently my ultimate favorite band. The guys are wicked and truly are masters of their instruments. Synyster Gates is one of the best damn guitarists I know of. They're due a new album late this year or early next!

Hmm, those are the songs on their newest album in which they made music videos. Perhaps the other one you heard was Bat Country? It's a pretty popular song.

I love the song! ^

You mean Bat Country? Yeah, it's a great video, and they won an award for it. Synyster's solo is awesome in it.

Bat Country rocks. Then again, i like most of the songs I heard from them. Sidewinder has a nice guitar solo in the end, (not sure if the guitar used there was electirc, but it doesn't really matter)

Yeah, I thought so. :]

Actually, in Sidewinder, the solo at the end was an acoustic part played by Brian Haner Sr. which is Synyster Gates' father. Yeah that's a great song, and I also like most of their songs; I have all three of their cds. Other good songs are Chapter Four, Eternal Rest, The Art of Subconscious Illusion, The Wicked End, And All Things Will End...and basically all of them.

No offense, but:

EW.

I tried. Really. I gave them a chance. But that lead singer is not my most favorite thing in the world.

No offense taken. Everyone has their own personal tastes. What about them that you don't like?

The vocals. Duh.

Ah, yes. I'm taking you're not really a fan of all-male vocals in metal genres?

HELLOOOO...You're talking to a die-hard Kamelot/Roy Khan fan here. I like male vocals which show that the guy has some talent. Roy has been classically trained. And that guy from AS is just plain weird. He doesn't sound pleasing to my ears.

Ok, true true. Roy Khan is amazing. :) I do love his voice, but I do think Matt Shadows sings well...except live. I mainly listen to A7x though because I'm in love with the guitarists, and thr drummer's great too. I love the music more.

Music is nothing if the lead singer's crap. That's my taste, though. I realize it kinda sucks for the other band members but I do appreciate all they do. :).

That's understandable. Respectful too that you at least appreciate all they do even though you don't particularly like a certain band. :)

Well, of course. I've tried writing accompaniment to the vocals I write and it's hard. :(. Props for actually putting a song together.

I do believe that all musicians deserve to be respected. With a few exceptions of course. Like Paris Hilton.

Abruptly speaking, I AGREE!! She's not even in the business for the music itself. She disgusts me to the deepest levels imaginable.

Ugh. If I was rich, I'd sue her for being stupid. And I'd make sure I'd win because I'll claim "mental distress" for her stupidity, which is partly true actually.

I'd definitely be there if I couldn't do that myself. :P
