((Just curious; are you reading what's been going on in the Krisanti house?))

Kay popped back in then with two round rocks of about the same size as the cocoons. Tempire knelt next to them, brushing off the dirt, and wrapped them in the silken baby blankets from the crib in the corner. Giving Mei a hand to her feet, he then handed the basket to Aly, who busied herself with covering the cocoons and placing books around them, so it looked like they had just come to get Carmein reading material (good thing she hadn't been in the Palace for a while).

"Please give Arette my appologies. I had to follow my queen's orders," he said solomnly.

"Will do," Mei said, tapping him lightly on the cheek like she might an indulgent little boy.

Aly handed her the basket. "Be careful."

Ayden watched the interactions between Mei and Tempire and had to fight the urge to say or do something he would regret later. "Let's get out of here."

"Okay!" Mei said happily, skipping over to him with the basket. She turned and waved. "Goodby cousin! Goodby Tempee! Goodby Tempee's dog!"

"By Mei," Aly said.

"Goodby sara du ten semi," Tempire called lightly. Kay wagged her tail, then curled up in front of the fire, ignoring the rocks.

Ayden closed the door behind her and followed her down the hall. "It would be faster to shimmer," he commented.

He caught her, moving purely out of instinct. Then he shimmered back to the Krisanti home, sending a quick message off to Joss and Ren.

Tempire popped in with the dead Monique in his arms and lay her down solemnly before the astonished Aly.

Leaning down, the girl hesitated, not sure if reviving Monique was the right thing to do. But she was her sister.

She started singing.

Monique sat up and looked around. “Well,” she said, “that wasn’t as much fun as I had hoped.”

((Oh and I forgot to mention it before, as she's been 'resurrected' from his mental blow, Monique *should* be a bit lacking in her former self and luster. Say, she won't be so skilled with a weapon as she was before (if that was one of her fortes), and the same thing in magic and speech-craft. Mental erosion/destruction from the attack.))
