A continuation of the other Streets thread.

The healer looked at Arty. "Right this way, sir," she said gently, gesturing down the hall.

Madison didn't make a move to follow. She knew that the healing arts were not for everyone to watch as if they were a common streetwandering magician. "I'll be right here when it's over," she told Arty.

Arty nodded, giving Madison a brief smile. He followed the healer down the hall.

The healer took Arty back to a room and told him to make himself comfortable.

Madison took a seat and waited for everything to finish.

A while later, Arty walked back out of the hallway, to where Madison was sitting.

She looked up at him. "Hey, how do you feel?"

Arty smiled. "Better. She just said we had to pay."

Madison looked at the healer. "How much do I owe you?"

The healer looked at her for a moment and then stated a rather large amount.

She pulled her money pouch out, grabbed the money needed and gave it to the healer. "Thank you for your services." Then Madison looked at Arty. "Come on, let's go."

Arty raised an eyebrow at the amount mentioned, then nodded. "Alright."

They walked out of the building and Madison looked around for a moment. "We should probably go back to the Inn," she said tiredly.

He nodded. "You look like you're going to fall asleep on your feet."

She looked at him. "To be honest I have not slept in almost two days."

Arty frowned worriedly. "That's not good," he commented.

"I know it but I was not going to allow myself to fall asleep while on the road. As a lone traveller I couldn't feel safe setting up a camp. I wasn't near a village yesterday, so I continued to walk."

Arty nodded understandingly.

Madison let out a deep breath. "So, back to the inn?"

"Yes." Arty smiled at her. "Thanks for taking me here."

She smiled. "There's no need to thank me."

Arty just smiled and led the way back to the inn.

Madison walked with him.

Madison looked around once they were in the streets, trying to see if she could find a place that was for sale. She didn't want anything too large or extravagant, having had enough of that back in Samori. In fact a smaller place would be less conspicuous, make it harder for anyone to find her, if they even tried to find her.

Arty looked around as well, just looking for a place.

Madison glanced over at him. "You know, I'm afraid we don't really know much about each other." She chuckled slightly, thinking of how her family would react to her spending this much time with someone she barely knew.

Arty smiled. "True." He glanced over at her.

"We'll have to work on correcting that little issue sometime soon."

"Why not now?" Arty asked. "We're just walking."

"True enough," she answered. "I really don't know where to begin. Usually when I meet people I've already been informed as to who they are and what importance they are to me." She paused and smiled. "I'm sorry to say that I have very little experience with starting friendships or anything like that on my own."

Arty smiled. "Well, then, I'll teach you."

Madison nodded. "I'd like that."
