Topic: The Pub
Geoff was polishing the flagons in his pub. It was small but homely and his few customers were regulars who he had seen grow from their firat sip of ale to the hardened drinkers he had grown them into now. It wasn't that he had encouraged them into it, they had just been enticed by him, so to speak. However, he was bored of them now, they didn't really give much conversation. Perhaps some newcomers would come to cheer him up...

can't post no more
One did, but sadly, it was not to cheer him up. She walked over to a man at one of the tables. With her finger, she waved him back towards the door. No one was realy payting much atention, so she walked him through a door into a dark room where none could see them. She placed her right hand on his chest and within seconds he had fallen down dead. She walked out of the room and came up to the door. As she opened it all eyes fell on her. She looked back at them and smiled, then walked out of the room onto a street called dock street.

Reko sighed and flexed his new, slightly-pudgy fingers. Where was that bar-keep? He sighed and laid his head down onthe table, closing his eyes and listening to the other civilians talking around him. The new body would melt in a few hours, but that was enough time to a get a cure, wasn't it? Then Henas could choose what he wanted.

Reko grinned, "Strong ale, good one too. Not the cheap stuff." he stracthed the back of his hand, "Say, you know anything about werewolves?"

Geoff chouted angrily "Fred" as he walked out of the pub without leaving any coins.

"I won't be serving you again anytime soon!"

Ren entered the pub and waited a moment for his eyes to adjust to the darkness. Seeing a somewhat normal-looking amount of patrons made him frown, he had been hoping to find someone out of the ordinary in here. Approaching the bar, he politely asked for ale, and sat down on a stool.

"So how's life been for you, bartender?" Ren asked, cheerfully, hoping to get some good information from the man.

((If no one's gonna do the bartender, someone let me know and I'll go ahead and start having conversations with myself. =P))

[I think the old bartender died or something (If you look WAY up to the second post!!!) so I'll make a new one! Lol... his name will be....? Tom.]

"Not too bad, sirrah." Tom announced, grinning at his new customer. since the old barkeep had wound up dead, he'd been promoted from kitchen boy to barman, "What can I do for ye' friend?" he asked, leaning his elbows on the counter.

((Lols, I don't MIND talking to myself, it just gets rather old after a while, not to mention the fact that people might start to think I'm crazy =P. *smiles and bows* (or maybe that should be a curtsy? =P) I thank you for taking the time to man the barkeep for me))

Ren smiled (perhaps a bit too nicely) at the barkeep. "I was wanting a nice big mug of your best ale, good sir, and a decent meal, if you can procure one." He paused and glanced around the room, "Not much of a crowd, here tonight, eh, barkeep?"

[Lolz!]

"Certainly, friend." Tom replied, nodding. As he oured an ale, he shouted to the cook to make up a nice meal then turned back to his client, "Nah, never is a big crown in 'ere, I'm afraid. Always quiet." he shrugged, placing the ale in front of him, "I's alright though, I like it this way."

((^_^))

"Many thanks, sir." Ren told the barkeep, taking a swig of his ale, and looking around the room again. "It sounds as if you have quite the boring job here."

He brought his green gaze back to the barkeep, "You ever get any of the King's guard or anyone out of the ordinary in here?"

Ren took another swig, "Oh, and what's your name?"

"the name's tom, friend." he said with a small bow, "Couple of King's guard come in every now and again but nothing too odd." he said, shrugging. "why? Ye' looking for someone specific?"

"Actually, yes." Ren glanced around the room and lowered his voice slightly, "His name is Lorne, Lorne Hasinbauk. He's not really openly known as one of the Guard. He's an Elite soldier, and he normally keeps his whereabouts unknown to the general public. But you may have seen him." Ren gave the bartender a thorough description of what Lorne looked like((see Post #7 in Character backgrounds and Abilities)). "I have a message for him, rather urgent. If you happen to see him anytime soon, please DO tell him that Ren Krisanti needs to see him."

He took a swig of his ale, "When's that food going to come?"

((Hey, Rogue, do you have an Instant Messenger username? Then we could chat more about our characters or just random nonsense! =P))

Before answering, Tom hollered into the kitchen and a little serving wench skittered out, placing the meal in front of him and scuttling off again,

"Haven't heard of him unfortunately." Tom said, shrugging, "But if I see 'im around I'll be sure to tell 'im yer' lookin for 'im."

[Nup. My computers screwy and doesn't work! Do you have mysapce or hotmail? I've got them and I could get the hotmail MSN running for a bit???]

((Eh, tis okay, I don't have either myspace or hotmail, but I AM on this really neat site called Meebo, where you can access people from any sort of Instant Messenger. Just a thought....))

"My thanks." Ren nodded to Tom. "For the meal and for keeping an eye out for the man I'm looking for."

He started eating, still keeping a weather eye on all going on around him, but without seeming to do so.

[I'll check it out.]

Tom nodded in return to the mans thanks and went back to cleaning the bar up, as he was doing before. Ren ate his meal as Tom kept a careful eye on him... just in case.

Finishing both his meal and ale, Ren stood up from the bar and tossed a small handful of gold coins on the counter top.

"Again, many thanks." He told Tom, picking up his weapon and walking over to the door. He cast one final glance around the pub before ducking out of the door and into the street.
