xbluxmoonxTopic: Your Genre? What genre is your fave and what would you like to experiment with for your stories? |
|
Imaginary RoseHi!My absolutely favorite genre would be Fantasy. I like to read it, write it, draw it, anything. I LOVE Fantasy. My next favorite is Romance. Any and every story I have ever written has had some romantic subplot. Every story I've written has had Action/Adventure in it too and it's far from my fave. Odd... Right now I'm actually contemplating writing a story with a bit of Mystery and Supernatural tones in it. And I'd love to have some Angst in there too, but I'm so sensitive I'd never be able to write it without soaking my paper with my tears. That's why I can't read Tragedy. I'm really just one big tear. Maybe when I grow as a writer I'll attempt the hard stuff. Schlater, C. Shells | #2 May 22nd 2007, 11:38pm

xbluxmoonxthat's kewl. i actually love mystery and thriller. you can always try and incorporate a little comedy in the story to lighten it up. yeah, i think action keeps up the plot and it's also fun to write. ^_^ |

concerto49I've said I like everything - it is actually the contents that matters. Though, I've lent towards fantasy and romance. I'd experiment with all sorts of cool things whenever the idea comes.| #4 Jul 18th 2007, 11:43pm

mapusyawHello, newbie here. I appreciate blumoon's efforts in creating forums where newbies can feel welcomed. I'm more of a reader than a writer; I'm not very particular with genre and as concerto pointed out, it's the content that matters but I'm most attracted to stories with psychological themes; romance only come in second. I also lean towards (dark) humor and tragedies. |

concerto49Hi hi there. Guess I'm quite new too. I'm more of the writer than the reader, but still ended up reading quite a bit around here. Yeah, I do have my preferences, but then again, it doesn't really matter. As long as it's good.So you've been reading a lot around here eh? |

Takiyanahorror and intimidation is what i like in my writing. I like to keep my readers on the edge with an insane character, i like to keep them guessing. Unpredictable characters i think are where i'm at my best. my lovey dovey scenes, i make surenot to milk it(no pun intended)X3 i like to keep it heartfelt. |

AmaraudeHmm...a favorite genre. I love anything that's written well and appeals to my interests, which are specifically dark/gothic/vampiric fiction, romantic comedies, historic fiction, fantasy, and some varieties of science fiction. Basically anything that's centered around teens because I find that their emotional pursuits are more conflicted because of their age and growing maturity. I'd love to experiment more with male characters. I feature a female character as the lead character. It would be so nice for me to get into the mind of a boy and see how they take things rather than a female because...it would be a nice change of pace. It would be fun to place myself in the head of a boy and to understand them better through my male character. |
