so now theres about three people who watch this forum daily. i know our administrator the intelligent decorator, wont be here for a while, he harld watches this thing, too taken up with his politics to care about us and our measly ramblings, but he'll come back too and demeening as usual. keito123 wont be back til school starts again, unless i tip her off but shes busy with her anime, for now. sicklysnowwhite will be back as soon as she gets the email that people are posting again and capriciousguy... who knows... hes probably at some football camp anyway. am i missing anyone??? ahh, pirate. nobody knows when she'll turn up. :]

Hello! I'm back (hopefully) as demeaning as ever! Chibi! It's wonderful to see that you're still alive and well! (As opposed to...like...dead?)

Btw...I watch this forum daily too, thank you very much. I read the emails, keep up on the current conversation, then decide I have nothing to say because I'm better than you... (Does that count as demeaning? I try, but I'm not always sure I'm playing my part very well...)

a dangling particible is (hopefully)

because we dont know if you're hopeful that you're back, or if you're hopeful that you're still demeaning. most words ending in "ly" are dangling particibles. (hopefully, virtually, sadly, possibly, demeaningly)

To keep this from happening, use the word at the beginning of the sentance. Hopefully, I'm back as demeaning as ever! Still a dangling particible. But less confusing, i suppose.

im not trying to be smart here, these are just some of my schemes to make you less demeaning Mr. Intelligence

My webistes aren't crap. Your website didn't even let you know that most words ending in -ly aren't 'dangling' participles. They're just participles. The dangling ones are when they're used incorrectly. Like there..."incorrectly" is a particible, but that usage does not make "incorrectly" a dangling particible.

w/e...you probably knew that...I'm just being a **.

never ever watched MST3K? O.O you poor, poor deprived children! it's hilarious XD something i could totally see any number of us doing =P it's basically this TV show where this guy (and two robots) sit in and watch these really really really really old, cheesy B-movies and they make comments and add lines and stuff throughout the entire film. you can only see the silhouette of them and the chairs at the very bottom of the screen. it's so hilarious. you should be able to look it up on YouTube if you wanna check it out ^_^ try either "Mystery Science Theater 3000" or "MST3K" and it should come up with a few shows of theirs =]

Just adding my two cents...

Yes, cliques *do* exist, but that doesn't mean they're everywhere. My school has a few tight-knit groups, but honestly - honestly - people converse with whomever they choose, regardless of whether they're in their clique or not. There are the relatively few popular people who won't talk to anyone who's not, of course, but those same people are friends with other popular people in other cliques who will talk to anyone.

Myself? I've been in various theatrical productions, yet I don't hang out primarily with drama kids. In fact, some of my friends hate drama with a passion. I'm in an AP/Honors English block class, but I don't hang out primarily with those smart people. I'm neither a "loser" nor am I "popular", but I have good friends in both groups. I'm Jewish and am active in one of the biggest youth groups in the world, yet I don't hang out only with Jews.

I'm aware that I went off on this huge and unnecessary tangent, but I digress. xP So...my point? My point is that some schools just don't have solid, omg-i-can't-talk-to-you-cos-you're-not-like-me cliques.

All right.
