NPCs are Non-Player Characters. Unlike random people that you might talk to, these are others in the world that play an important role, but are only temporary. If you leave the RP for good, you may turn your character into an NPC depending on what they do.

This NPC post is to show a kind of robot that anyone can pull into the RP for almost any reason, whether to ask it a question of to engage one in combat. Anyone can use one of these, just to provide something to give an RP a push if need be.

SD-30 to SD-39 (Standard drone models)

Robotic humanoid

APPEARANCE:

Vaguely humanoid in appearance, but extremely thin. Their joints are moved using pneumatic pistons, and so each movement they make is accompanied by the hiss of pressurized air being pumped into and out of the thin cylinders on their limbs. The Thirty-series is known for their black face, which is nothing more than a smooth, curved plate of steel with a single, large eye in the center. The normal color of the eye is blue, but different colors show its current system status (see Other).

BIO:

The SD service drones were created to be a replacement for workers on Terra, but it was mostly a failure. Due to their weak, air-powered limbs they cannot perform physical labor, but they are still useful for other tasks like the retrieval of information. They are relatively cheap to make and purchase, and the SD-35 drones even have some weapon programming. The most famous SD-30 series drone is the prototype SD-37-0, which is owned by the TCN network and used to deliver news reports.

Blue - default state

Red - Defense mode (when weapons are active)

White - System standby (Turns this color when it is addressed)

Green - Carrying-out a non-violent order

Yellow - System error

Violet - Connected to something remotely, such as subspace radio. Sometimes indicates that the drone is being controlled manually

CHASSIS HIGHLIGHTS:

Blank Silver - Standard drone

Red - Security (often armed)

Blue - Information.

Green - Personal assistant

Yellow/Gold - Maintenance drone

Black - Owned by SiRN Inc.

White - Owned by MEDACVAR Corp.
