![]() I need character names for a story i'm working on. 8/21/2007 #1The end of the second world war saw an unexpected victor. The Nazi army, after retreating to the motherland, brought forth their secret weapon. America is instantly barraged with a hailstorm of nuclear missles. Britain and Russia established themselves, surviving, but not necessarily winning, the war. The story is set in the year 2037, around a British reporter, documenting the Russians' struggle to end the Nazi reign. On his journey, he meets up with a Russian soldier, an enigmatic 12 year old girl, and an Ex-Nazi scientist. I need help with character names and the name of the story. Help will be appreciated. =] |
![]() Probably an obvious suggestion - go to baby name websites and search by meaning or origin of names. You'll get heaps. 8/29/2007 #2Names fall in and out of popularity, the popular names of the 1940's won't be the same as 2030's. I know Olga was a pretty popular name for Russians. Sometimes, they add 'ch or even 'chka to the end of a name to imply indearment. And people called Olga are also called Olya or Olechka. |

![]() Well I tend to look up names and their meanings before I put them down, a simple 'names' google search should help. Oh, and I also tend to stray away from the cliche names as much as possible, and go for original, less used names. 11/18/2007 #8 |
