Hi all, I often come to this site because I like fan fiction and sometimes I able to find some cool stories. I am a writer and I have a friend of mine who is a fencer and has studied sword fencing, battle techniques and weapons for almost 20 years. He has given me great advice on writing the sword scene and I figured maybe someone here could use his information. A quick tip on coming up with the Choreography: I go to youtube and find Medieval sword fight videos, mostly from Europe such as this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6jhDOPblXcA&feature=related stop the video, write down what everyone is doing, continue the video, stop it, write down, repeat, then I'm able to create my fight scenes. Also, hang out at History.com and watch the fighting videos as well as watching the shows. you'd be surprised what you can learn. have fun!!
