Scottish PrincessTopic: The Night Bar ((This is a bar owned and operated solely by the Night brothers(more often than not, their cousins, the Mortensens, come and help them out)))Coming in from the front door (which is on the front left corner of the building) you would see a long bar that stretches along almost the entire length of the back wall. There is a door on the left side of the bar, leading up some stairs and is labeled "Employees Only". A hallway on the right of the bar leads to bathrooms and another door labeled "Employees and Musicians Only". That door opens to a short hallway with one door on the left(a warm up room for any musicians) and a door at the end of the hall that opens to the outside. ((This is the door that Zach, Val and Jules enter through, so everything will be flopped for them, the stairs will be on their right as they're coming in)) Behind the bar itself are shelves upon shelves of almost every kind of alcohol imaginable, and if they don't have exactly what you want, they can make it for you. Also behind the bar is a long mirror that hangs behind all the bottles of alcohol, and a door that leads to a small kitchen and some nondescript storerooms. Immediately in front of the bar, there are approx. 15 barstools, most of which remain vacated, since hardly any of the patrons seem to see a need for using them. Ten 4-seater, round, wooden tables are scattered about the room and 2 pool tables stand along the left wall. A stage takes up the right wall, reserved for any musicians who want the opportunity to have their 5 minutes of fame. UPSTAIRS-which is off-limits to anyone not invited by the Nights There are two other floors above the main ground floor. The second floor consists of 2 small 1 bed/1 bath apartments, a study with three desks that have a computer on each, a good-sized library, and a wide open room where the brothers practise with their guns and other misc. weapons. The third floor is entirely apartments. Out of the 8 apartments, 2 of them have 2 beds, and the rest are all your typical 1 bed/1 bath. All of the apartments on the third floor are reserved for the Night brothers and the Mortensens (whenever any of them decide to stay the night), while the apartments on the second floor are usually never used, except on emergencies or when one of the patrons needs to sleep it off. ((I think that's all. Feel free to ask any questions if you're confused or anything)) ((RS, I'll let you post here before I do, that way Jules can go inside and take in her surroundings, before Zach and Val come in)) ((Trevor and Aleister are NPC's who man the bar and Desmond and Francis are NPC's who man the other tables, take care of the stage and watch over the pool tables. Anyone can use those characters if the have a need to, though I will probably be controlling them the most. Also, Vladimir will be coming and going off and on and he will be manned solely by me)) | #1 Oct 23rd 2007, 9:32pm . Edited Oct 26th 2007, 2:23pm

RainingStars170Julianne came in, relieved to be out of the confusion and gunfire. Shudders still ran down her back, and her ears rang with sounds that had long faded; the rata-tat-tat of a machine gun, her own scream as whole buildings collapsed in a storm of dust.Shaking her head to try and clear it, the vampire foucused on her surroundings. Was a nice place, maybe even better than the Den. Perhaps she'd get more profit from working here. Nothing about it helped calm her nerves however, "You sure we're safe here?" she asked Zach quietly. |
|
Scottish PrincessVal and Zach followed Jules inside, Zach taking a moment to close and lock the door behind them."You sure we're safe here?" she asked Zach quietly. "As safe as we can be." Zach assured her, putting his arm around her shoulders and leading her out into the main room. "This place," He waved his free arm in a semi-circle, "Is run entirely by Vampires. When any Hunters, Weres or supernaturals whom we aren't on friendly terms with, show up 'ere, they 'ave a death wish." "He's right." Val put in, eyeing the entirety of the room before turning his gaze to Zach and Jules. "There are always at least 4 Vampires in here, all of whom are equipped with weaponry to fight off nearly every sort of supernatural that they might come across." Zach nodded, smiling at Jules and giving her a light kiss on the cheek. "Don' ye worry yer little 'ead about the safety of this place, lass. We'll take care of ye." |
|
RainingStars170With every reassuring word that Val and Zach explained, Jules felt better. She relaxed and suddenly had a hankering for a long smoke. "There are always at least 4 Vampires in here, all of whom are equipped with weaponry to fight off nearly every sort of supernatural that they might come across." "Oooh, sounds tough," Julianne admitted with a grin as she lit a cigarette. Zach nodded, smiling at Jules and giving her a light kiss on the cheek. "Don' ye worry yer little 'ead about the safety of this place, lass. We'll take care of ye." Rolling her eyes, Julianne indignantly shoved Zach slightly to one side, "Firstly, my head ain't little and pretty, chump. Otherwise I wouldn't be usin' it. And secondly..." she stopped, then let a tired smile spread her expression, "Thanks for getting me outta trouble back there. C'mon," she took his arm and gestured at the staircase, "Ain't we gonna have our fun?" |

Scottish Princess"Oooh, sounds tough," Julianne admitted with a grin as she lit a cigarette."Oh, I assure you, lass." Zach replied, smiling, "Me brothers an' I can take care of ourselves when we 'ave to." Rolling her eyes, Julianne indignantly shoved Zach slightly to one side, "Firstly, my head ain't little and pretty, chump. Otherwise I wouldn't be usin' it. And secondly..." she stopped, then let a tired smile spread her expression, "Thanks for getting me outta trouble back there. C'mon," she took his arm and gestured at the staircase, "Ain't we gonna have our fun?" Zach laughed, "We will, all in good time." He motioned to the bar, "Ye wan' a drink first, lass? On the house." |

RainingStars170She shook her head, a stream of smoke pouring from her lips, "I don't drink. Blood is all I can take, honey." |

Mindwarp((uh... bad idea dude. Your werewolf is in the middle of a vampire den.)) |
|
3qui1i6riM((yeah I know!! He's not afraid of vampires...in fact, where he comes from, vampires and werewolves work together!! and besides, he could hold his own against two or three vampires in human form, and like four or five in Lychan form!!Now just so he doesn't sound OP, he wouldn't win against that many....in human form: he would probly kill two of them (depending on how skilled his opponents are). and in Lychan form: he would probly kill three or four of them (again depending on the skill).)) |
|
Mindwarp((ok, behaviorally that makes sense. If vamps and weres usually get along with each other then there wouldn't be any reason for him not to come in and think nothing of it. That said, I'm very curious of what your idea of OP is.))| #10 Oct 26th 2007, 11:31am

Scottish PrincessShe shook her head, a stream of smoke pouring from her lips, "I don't drink. Blood is all I can take, honey.""I understan' tha'." Zach replied, "But I need a drink before I do anythin' else." He turned to the bar and motioned one of the two bartenders over to him. "Hey, Trevor, ge' me a bottle of Scotch, will ye?" Trevor nodded, giving Jules a quick surprised glance, "Righto, brother, let me get this guy his drink first." "Donnae worry abou' i', Trev," Aleister told the youngest Night brother, "Ah'll take care o' 'im." Trevor nodded, going to the shelves and pulled down a bottle of Scotch for Zach, while Aleister turned his attention to the newcomer at the bar. A big, muscular, quiet man, dressed in a long black trench coat, who sat waiting patiently for someone to notice him. "'ow ken Ah 'elp ye, sah?" Aleister asked the big man. Val stared at the man for a moment, his eyes narrowed and his forehead knit in thought. Zach accepted the bottle of Scotch that Trevor handed him, observing Val's reaction. -Wha's up, cousin?- He asked Val in thought -Somethin' wrong with 'im?- -He's a supernatural- Val replied to Zach, still trying to untangle all the details within his mind -Of that I am most certain. But....- -Bu' wha'?- -I cannot tell *what* exactly he is, and that's what disturbs me.- Taking a swig from his bottle, Zach managed to keep his slight feelings of panic out of his thoughts whilst replying to Val's thought. -Tha' can' be a good thing.- He took another swig -Wha' does tha' mean, then?- -It means that he's exceedingly more powerful than I would like to admit. Tread cautiously, Zach, there's no use in angering him and starting a fight here- After concluding these thoughts, Val sat down on a barstool about three seats away from the other man, and ordered a glass of champagne from Trevor. -No worries there, cousin, I'm no' tha' careless- Zach took another swig of his Scotch and looked down at Jules. He raised one eyebrow and tilted his head ever so slightly towards the stairs. "Shall we, lass?" | #11 Oct 26th 2007, 2:20pm

RainingStars170"Shall we, lass?"She winked at him and dashed upstairs, asking him to chase her again. ((Once Zach follows her, we'll go ahead and just leave them up there. Anyone can tell what'll happen next, hehe.)) | #12 Oct 26th 2007, 2:35pm

3qui1i6riMReks just sat there, and came out of his bubble of thought...then he felt something that he knew all to well....the presence of Vampires...he had been around vampires for the last eight years of his life. He knew the way they carried themselves, the way they act...the way they look...he could pick one out of a crowd..."'ow ken Ah 'elp ye, sah?" Aleister asked the big man. As the man neared he looked up, "Oh yeah I'll just take a Shiner." | #13 Oct 26th 2007, 8:58pm

Scottish Princess((Lols, yeah, that'll work))She winked at him and dashed upstairs, asking him to chase her again. Zach took a big swig of his Scotch, left the bottle on the bar and chased after Jules. He went to lift her into his arms and ran up the second flight of stairs to his own apartment. ((And we'll just leave it there for them....until further notice)) As the man neared he looked up, "Oh yeah I'll just take a Shiner." Aleister nodded, "Jus' one momen'." He turned to the back shelves, found the requested beverage and looked back at the man. "In a glass or straigh' fro' tha bottle?" Val watched the man and his cousin, swirling his champagne and taking in everything that was going on, only without seeming to do so. Seeing Zach's abandoned Scotch bottle, he reached over and took a sip. Oh it burned! But once he swallowed the stuff, it actually tasted good and made his insides feel all warm. -Definitely something that could become addicting- He thought, pushing the bottle away and going back to his champagne and his thoughts. | #14 Oct 26th 2007, 9:56pm

Scottish Princess((Yeah, sorry it's taken me so long to reply here, been WAY too busy with school and the new puppy, but now I'll post!))"Is there any particular reason why everyone here is a Vampire?" Aleister smiled, showing off his fangs, "Ah'm mighty surprised tha' ye no'iced, lad. Mos' people like ye donnae fin' tha' ou' until i's too la'." He paused and looked around the room, noting the three new arrivals and shooting a glance at Val, before looking back at Reks. "There's no real reason be'ind tha place bein' filled wi' Vamps all the time, although Ah suppose i' could be because i's owned and operated by my five brothers an' meself, all o' us bein' Vamps ye see." Val saw the three people come in, and he recognised the one man immediately. He could tell that all three of them were supernaturals and by the looks of things that the feelings that he was getting, he figured that they all were Weres, as well. -Aleister, Trevor, Francis, Desmond, Vladimir- Val sent the thoughts to his cousins -We have three Weres loaded for bear and sitting at one of the front tables. Zach and I ran one of them off earlier and I know he will not be too happy with me, I used silver bullets on him.- All five of his cousins sent back thoughts saying that they understood and that they'd be careful. -What's the plan?- Trevor asked his brothers and cousin, while bringing orders of drinks to the various patrons at the bar. -We goin' to chase them off?- -I have an idea- Val replied -I can only hope that it will work the way I want. Des, you keep a close watch on those Weres over there, while I try to get my plan rolling- -Will do, cousin- Desmond thought back. Val scooted over until there was only one barstool separating him from Reks. He looked up at the man and smiled warmly. "Hello there." Scottish PrincessVal smiled, revealing his Vampire fangs and sipped his champagne. "My cousin owns this bar. He is currently very busy upstairs and does not wish to be disturbed if it can be helped. One of those Weres that just came in attacked my cousin, our friend and I earlier this evening and apparently he wants to try and get some sort of revenge for us injuring him and chasing him off. I want no bloodshed in here, and I assure you that my cousins do not want to have to spend the time and money to repair any sort of damages or to pay for any burials. There are at least eight Vampires in this building and my three brothers are only a phone call away, but I do not want to call them unless it is completely necessary." He took another sip and glanced at the table where the Weres were sitting. "My proposition is this: I would ask that you go over to that table and speak with those Weres about leaving peacefully. If you like you can tell them that there are nearly three times the amount of Vampires than there are of them." He paused, looked the man in the eye, his own eyes changing from their normal icy-blue colour to a stormy grey hue, "I am a peaceful man, but I do not like to be pushed, especially by someone to whom I owe nothing. Neither my cousin nor myself nor our friend have done anything to deserve this Were's hatred, and my patience and goodwill towards him and his friends is fast wearing thin." | #23 Oct 30th 2007, 9:17pm . Scottish Princess((Sorry, I forgot about that))Vladimir opened the briefcase and studied the metal box that rested inside. -Damn it!- He thought, looking up at Val. "I've dealt with this kind before." He told his cousin, wiping the layer of sweat from his brow, "There's no way for me to deactivate it, unless I'm positive about the code, which I'm not." Val scowled, running a hand through his black hair, "What can we do?" Vladimir grinned, his light blue eyes sparkling, "That's the simple part. We don't want it to blow up the bar, so I'll teleport somewhere, detonate it and immediately teleport back." "Bu', where ken ye telepor' to?" Desmond piped up from behind Val, "Ye know jus' as well as Ah tha' ye ken only telepor' to a Vampire tha' ye've seen before." Vladimir thought for a moment and then a slow smile spread across his face, "I visited one of Eva's younger sisters once, Opal, I believe it was. She was as ugly as the northbound end of a southbound mule. I'll simply teleport to her, gift her a nice birthday gift and then teleport back." Desmond laughed, "Sounds wonderful!" Val smiled ever so slightly and then frowned, "Are you sure that you will be able to get back safely?" Vladimir nodded, "Of course. I've done it, oh....about, let's see here.." He did a hurried mental count, "Five times before." "Alright then, good luck to you." Val sat down next to Vladimir, "I will be waiting right here for you." Vladimir smiled again, "I'll be back before you know it." He pressed the 6 holes in a random order then promptly disappeared, the briefcase going with him. ((Continued in The Bluddswirth's Mansion. Vladimir commented, grinning and cleaning off his glasses on a cloth, "I don't think they expected to leave this fine earth so soon." "Well done, cousin!" Val congratulated him, "You have risked your own life in the process of protecting others'. Many thanks to you!" Vladimir shrugged, starting to pack up all his tools, "It was nothing." Val shook his head, "Can I buy you a drink or anything?" "I've got some extensive planning and research to do on my latest robotics idea." And he promptly disappeared again, his tools going with him. Val stood up from the table and walked back to the bar. He chose a seat next to Reks and pulled out a cigar, lighting it and taking a puff, sighing as he did so. "This does not normally happen." he commented to the other man, "Just so you know." | #46 Nov 13th 2007, 10:10pm

RainingStars170UPSTAIRS:Jules groggily pushed herself up from the soft double bed she and Zach had reclined in for the past few hours or so. Yawning, she slid her multi-colored locks away from her face and looked down at Zach. He was still out, and apparently would be for quite awhile, he'd drunk so much before the fun started, "Sleep on, baby, sleep on," Jules laughed to herself, standing up to look for her clothes. Once she was dressed, the hippie vampire gave her bedmate one last fond look and skipped downstairs. "Hey, serve any blood at this bar?" she asked, sliding into a barstool and pulling out a cigarette. | #47 Nov 14th 2007, 11:10am . Edited Nov 14th 2007, 2:18pm

Scottish Princess((Sorry it took me so long, RS))Zach slept like a log while Jules made her exit. He'd be out for several hours after drinking a half a bottle of Scotch, not to mention the several cups of wine that he had had that morning..... -------------------- "Hey, serve any blood at this bar?" she asked, sliding into a barstool and pulling out a cigarette. Trevor looked up at Jules and nodded, smiling slightly as he recognised her, "'course we do, this place *is* run by Vampires, ya know. What kind ya wantin'?" -------------------- Val glanced over at Reks, the man hadn't said anything. Val shrugged and was about to take a sip of his wine when he felt a sudden excruciatingly sharp pain in the deep recesses of his mind. Like the tip of a recently sharpened knife, still hot from the whetting stone, probing deep in a tender, unhealed wound. He gasped, dropping his cigar in such haste that it rolled onto the floor, and gripped his head in his hands, his eyes closed so tightly against the pain. Aleister, noticed Val's actions, rushed over to him, putting a hand on his shoulder. "Valentine, wha's goin' on? Wha' is i'?" Val shook his head at Aleister, but said nothing. His mouth opened and he gave a silent scream, flinching from some unseen force and cringing against the bar. "VAL!" Aleister shouted his cousin's name, trying to break him away from whatever was causing his pain. Val suddenly fell off of his barstool, his body twitching as if he was being repeatedly struck by something. Aleister ran around the bar and over to his cousin, crouching down over him, shaking him, his face a picture of worry and fear for Val. Val's eyes snapped open, flashing a stormy grey rather then being their normal icy blue colour. He gasped for air, grabbing Aleister's shoulder in a grip of iron, his eyes trying to convey something that his mouth couldn't utter. "Eva!" He managed to gasp out, before slipping into unconsciousness and falling back to the ground. Aleister's eyes were wide. This had never happened before. Val was always the strong, steady type, acting this way wasn't like him at all. Lifting up his unconscious older cousin, Aleister sent a mental thought to Desmond, telling him to help Trevor at the bar. He then sent a separate thought to Vladimir, urging him to help him out. -Ah need yer 'elp, brotha- He communicated to Vladimir, -Val's unconscious- Aleister made his way down the small hallway and to the door that was marked "musicians and employees only". Vladimir appeared just then and opened the door for Aleister, closing it behind them. "What happened?" Vladimir asked his brother, helping him to make Val comfortable on the couch. Aleister shrugged, "Ah'm no' real' sure. 'e jus' started cringin' an' 'oldin' 'is 'ead as if 'e was 'avin' the 'eadache of the century or somethin'." Vladimir's face paled, and he looked at the still form of his cousin, "Eva. It must be. Only she has the power to do something like that." He looked back over to Aleister, "Did he say anything before he passed out?" "'e only said one word. Eva." Vladimir grimaced, "That's what I thought. We need Zach." Aleister grinned knowingly, "'e's real, um, busy las' I knew. An' 'e 'ad too much ta drink earlier, 'e'll be ou' like a ligh'." "I'll handle Zach, then, you call the other Mortensens, we'll need all the help we can get." Aleister nodded, "Sure thing, brotha." Vladimir disappeared and Aleister pulled out his cellphone, hurriedly typing in a number and waiting for someone to pick up. He chose a seat next to Reks and pulled out a cigar, lighting it and taking a puff, sighing as he did so."This does not normally happen." he commented to the other man, "Just so you know." Reks' mind was too far in it's own world to notice Val's comment. Val glanced over at Reks, the man hadn't said anything. Reks came back to this world with a start as the man fell to the floor. He turned and gazed at the twitching man, very confused. "What's going on?" His question was soon answered, though indirectly, as the two brothers discussed what was happening and what to do. Reks followed them into the other room and listened to everything. "What do you want me to do?" he asked only a moment after Vladimir disappeared. | #49 Nov 15th 2007, 9:27am

Scottish PrincessAleister cursed under his breath and slammed his phone shut."Damned connection!" "What do you want me to do?" he asked only a moment after Vladimir disappeared. Aleister jumped, startled, and looked at Reks as if noticing him for the first time. "Ah, er, would ye min' stayin' 'ere while Ah go make a phone call?" ----------------------------- UPSTAIRS: Vladimir appeared in Zach's room, standing next to the bed and glaring down at his older brother, "Zach!" He shook him by the shoulder, "Wakey, wakey!" Zach mumbled in his sleep and rolled over, ignoring his brother's presence. "Zach! Val's unconscious and Eva's on her way here as we speak! We need you downstairs NOW!" Zach sat up immediately, putting a hand to the side of his head and squinting at Vladimir. "Ye donnae 'ave ta yell, ye know." "But, Val.... and Eva..." "Ah 'eard ye, Ah 'eard ye." Zach looked around the room as if searching for something, "'elp me find mah pants an' then ah'll be ready ta go." Vladimir smiled slightly, "You mean these?" He held up Zach's pair of jeans. Zach growled and wrenched them from Vladimir's grip. After putting on his pants he stood up and grabbed his long coat, not even bothering to put on a shirt underneath. Zach took just one step forward, and stumbled, catching himself on the back of a chair, he realised that he couldn't go anywhere without help of some kind. Vladimir put an arm around Zach's shoulders and they started making their way down stairs. "You'll be needing one of my remedies, won't you?" Zach laughed and then groaned, putting a hand to his head, "Aye, tha' ah will." | #50 Nov 15th 2007, 11:52am
