Scottish PrincessTopic: Vampire Battle ((This thread is solely for the fight between those in the Bar and those in the Street, as it tends to get rather annoying, having to post things in two places and all. One thing I will say here: To prevent confusion, when you start your post put either INSIDE or OUTSIDE at the top that way the rest of us know where your character is))((Okay, this is my reply to RS's post in the Street, I'm just answering it here to get this whole thing started.)) OUTSIDE Sighing, Lux turned his gaze towards Eva, "Let's just get this over with." Eva merely glanced at him before sending a mental command to her subordinates. -Open fire!- The entire group of Vampires who surrounded the Bar aimed their chosen guns and started shooting at the blockaded windows. ((I'll let other peoples post now)) |

RainingStars170INSIDE:Rapid gun fire shot in waves through windows, crashing the glass and ricocheting off boards, tables, shattering drinks in a tumult. With a scream, Jules leaped over the bar and ducked down, drawing her gun as she did so. Breathless, she waited for the inevitable break-in as their make-shift fort slowly fell apart... | #3 Nov 24th 2007, 11:19am

Scottish PrincessINSIDE:Isaak and Phoenix and the rest of the Constantines barely had time to duck down below the windows when the Vampires outside started shooting in. "Arturo, quick!" Caleb called out to his younger brother, "Follow my lead!" The two brothers started knocking tables over and pushing them in a semi-circle to create a barricade. They had just managed to push the last table in place when Caleb suddenly cried out and fell to the ground. "Caleb!" Arturo grabbed his brother's arm and dragged him behind the barricade, "Are you alright?" Caleb clutched his right leg and Arturo could see the blood seeping through his pants. "Dammit! Caleb!" In the back room, the Vampires heard the guns start. "Oh, Reks Vondran, sir. At your service." he replied as he stood up and gave a slight bow. Zach stood up, swaying slightly and looked apologetically at Reks, "Ah'm truly sorry ye 'ad ta ge' yerself stuck in the middle o' this." He turned to Aleister, "Ye can stay 'ere an' keep an eye on Val, the res' o' us, including Reks 'ere, will go 'elp ou' the others." Aleister nodded and Darrien, Vladimir and Zach left the room, making their way down the hallway and to the main room. | #4 Nov 24th 2007, 11:58am

LavieAaron stopped firing and told his pack to do so too. "Marion move in."Marion, who was standing in the alley behind the night bar, walked over to the back door, "Knock, knock." he said, laughing, just before he slammed the door with his fist. ((lets get this party started)) |
|
RainingStars170INSIDE:BAM! "Holy crap!" Jules started, her eyes whipping towards the back door, "Block the damn door!" she shouted out, "They're breakin in!" |
|
Scottish Princess((yeah, no kidding!))OUTSIDE: Eva mentally commanded her troops to stop firing and signaled to Bryce, -Flamethrowers!- Bryce and three other Vampires ran forward about twenty feet, holding a barricade like a shield in front of them. They aimed their long-ranged flamethrowers at the boarded up windows and fired away. ((no pun intended)) INSIDE: "Block the damn door!" she shouted out, "They're breakin in!" Vladimir heard Jules' outcry and ran to the door. He smiled slightly and pulled out what looked like a mini cattle-prod. "Wakey wakey!" He pressed a button and a stream of electricity flowed from the end of the tool, completely enveloping the door in a whiteish-blue light. ((Now, Marion's the strongest Were, right? it'll still have an effect on even him, it's a really strong electrical current. hehehe Vladimir's a scientist type and this is one of his latest inventions....hehehe)) The rest of the Vampires in the main room were slightly relieved when the shooting stopped only to be taken by surprise when the wood in front of the windows suddenly burst into flames. Isaak rolled out of the way and came away from the window, completely unscathed. Phoenix, on the other hand, had helped his father to get out of the way and, in doing so the right sleeve of his coat caught on fire. He dropped and rolled, shedding his coat as he scrambled away from the window. "I barely made it outta that one." He commented to his father as he rubbed his arm. "Yer damn lucky, son." Isaak replied. He stood up and started firing his shotgun blindly into the stream of flames, hoping to hit something. OUTSIDE: One of the Vampires that was using a flamethrower suddenly went down, riddled with the bullets from Isaak's blind shooting. "Dammit!" Bryce muttered under his breath. RainingStars170INSIDE:Staggering away from the blast of flames, Julianne backed into the shelves of liquor bottles behind the bar. Struck, she looked from the flames to the bottles, then to the bucket of cleaning rags shoved under the bar counter. Her fingers snapped, "Yo!" she called, out, grabbing the closet vampire, who happened to be Trevor, "I got a plan..." OUSIDE; Lux felt things were going too slowly. Behind everyone, viewing the scene in disgust, he considered trying to take lead. Honestly, he thought things would go much faster under his control. Yet he could tell Eva was one of sharp authority and pride, and after all, SHE had hired him. Deciding it best to wait, he lounged in the background, trying to avoid the muck puddles and piles of trash all around. INSIDE: "Stuff the bottle with the rag, light it and chuck it at the bad-** vamps, got it?" Julianne was repeating herself, trying to get everyone to listen, "It works. Used to do it all deh time at school. Probably why they expelled me and a few othuh suckuhs, but now I know it weren't no waste," she grinned mischievously, and the burning glow of the flames shone on her fangs. |

Lavie((hehehe he is strong...))The electricity coarsed through Marion's body, who jumped back from the door. "DAMN VAMPIRES!!!" heyelled, suddenly growing in size and stature as hair covered his body. He then slammed his bulk into the door. ((that should bust though the damn door, but we shall see...)) Aaron moved towards the building, trying to stay in the shadows. He is closely followed by Chelsea and the weasel faced man, also known as Chet. Each carried an MN-23, prepared to kill any vamps that they saw... besides the ones they are working with of course. | #10 Nov 27th 2007, 5:57pm . Edited Nov 27th 2007, 5:59pm

Scottish PrincessINSIDE:Her fingers snapped, "Yo!" she called, out, grabbing the closet vampire, who happened to be Trevor, "I got a plan..." Trevor listened intently to what Jules had to say, his face lighting up with eager anticipation. He and most of the other Vampires inside the Bar followed Jules' lead and started stuffing cloths into bottles. Arturo had wrapped up Caleb's wound, stopping the bleeding and he went to help the others with the homemade grenades. The electricity coarsed through Marion's body, who jumped back from the door. "DAMN VAMPIRES!!!" heyelled, suddenly growing in size and stature as hair covered his body. He then slammed his bulk into the door. The door burst open, free from its rusty hinges and Vladimir jumped back, nearly getting hit. -We've got a Were inside! I need backup!- He sent that frantic mental thought to all the other Vampires as he pressed the button on his mini cattle-prod again, aiming it at Marion. RainingStars170INSIDE:Mere yards away from the invading werewolf, Julianne acted fast. Grabbing the crate of ragged bottles, she signaled to Trevor to follow her upstairs right damn quick. As she made for the staircase, she paused one second to aim her gun squarely at Marion. KAPANG! The bullet shot out, and Jules was already half-way up the stairs, "To the third floor!" she yelled. OUTSIDE: Lux stepped closer, "Must have broken in," he observed, noting the commotion near the backdoor. He looked at Eva, "Excuse me." In several quick strides he'd reached the battered down entrance. In a flash he saw Marion's enraged advancement...upon one of the very targets he'd been assigned to take alive. The idiot! These dark creatures did everything wrong. Almost instinctively he felt the surge rush. BLINDING whiteness flashed through the doorway, streaming through into the front bar room. ((OK, so anyone with sunglasses on should just be unable to see. Anyone completely unguarded should be blind AND thrown into a painful brain spasm and nothing should be clear for them. Marion, if he's wearing the armor Eva handed out earlier, probably has special dark goggles that keep his sight in tact.)) | #15 Nov 28th 2007, 7:48am . Edited Nov 28th 2007, 7:50am

Scottish PrincessINSIDE:"To the third floor!" she yelled. Trevor, Phoenix, Arturo, and Dawn all followed Jules up the stairs, armed with as many bottles as they could carry. The pain was excruciating, but this time he didn't jump or even twitch, instead he leapt at Vladimir. Vladimir suddenly disappeared from in front of Marion and reappeared in the room where Val and Aleister were. "I barely made it out of that one." He commented, glancing over at Aleister. "How is he?" Aleister shrugged, "Fine Ah would guess. 'e hasnae moved er anythin'." As if on cue, Val suddenly sat up straight on the couch, his eyes burning stormy grey. "Where is everyone?" He gasped out, his voice hoarse. Vladimir smiled only slightly at seeing his cousin conscious and then replied, "Trevor, Arturo, Phoenix, Dawn and that girl of yours are upstairs with Molotov Cocktails that they're getting ready to chuck at Eva's group. Isaak, Liz, Serena, Nate, Dare, Zach, Francis and Des are all in the main room with Caleb who's injured. And Were just broke in the back door." Val closed his eyes for a moment, then opened them and moved to stand up. "I have to go help." "No, you don't." Vladimir glared at him, "You're totally out of it, don't even think about going out there in your state." Val sighed, falling back on the couch and closing his eyes again. "I have to help. They need me." "Vladimir's righ' Val," Aleister spoke up, "You stay 'ere an' rest an'-" He wasn't able to finish his sentence. The blinding light from Lux seeped under the door and into the room. Val, Vladimir and Aleister were temporarily blinded, seeing bright spots wherever they looked. BLINDING whiteness flashed through the doorway, streaming through into the front bar room. Now, here's what happened to everyone on the main room: Caleb was lying down, eyes closed, behind the barricade of tables and thus was barely affected. Isaak and Phoenix were directly in the line of fire from Lux's rays and fell to the ground, clutching their heads and trying to discern which way was up. Darrien, Liz, Serena, Nate, Zach, Francis and Des were all clustered in the storeroom, still creating Molotov Cocktails. They were all only minorly affected by the light as each of them was paying attention to the task at hand and the door to the storeroom was only partly open. OUTSIDE: Eva cursed under her breath as Lux walked off and then gave the mental signal to stop the flamethrowers and stand back. -Leave it to Lux and the Weres- She commanded everyone, who all sent back mental replies of agreement. ((Okay so, three questions, um how are our little vampies going to escape if they're all blinded? how long does said blindness last? and Matt wants to know, was Lux hit by any of Reks' bullets?)) ((Oh, and PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't do anything big without me! PLEASE! I'm going to be gone almost all day but I'll be able to post this evening sometime, but PLEASE hold back on all the action if possible)) | #16 Nov 28th 2007, 9:28am . Edited Dec 06th 2007, 2:54pm

3qui1i6riMBLINDING whiteness flashed through the doorway, streaming through into the front bar room."Ah!" Reks yelled, with his hands over his eyes. He felt for the corner of the wall. After finding it he moved around, away from Lux and the Were. He knelt down and removed his shades, then rubbed his eyes. After a few seconds he looked around...white spots were everywhere, but he could see...sort of. He rubbed his eyes again, then looked around, everything was fuzzy...too fuzzy. He put his shades in his pocket. Looking down at his guns he fumbled around trying to reload them. Upon successfully doing so he stood up, back to the wall, and took a deep breath. Then, as swift as he could be, (considering the circumstance), he moved from around the corner and opened fire down the hall. Only a few shots were fired before Reks realized what was happening: the Were was flying at him. And not only that there were bullets following. Without thinking he closed his eyes; he grew about a foot, his arms bulged, and a golden-brown fur coat covered his body. He opened his eyes and growled, then jumped back at the Were, with his four-inch claws in front... ((Yes...he's a Werewolf!)) | #18 Nov 28th 2007, 9:21pm

RainingStars170((Whoa, ok, slow down everyone. Let me answer some things first;FIRSTLY: It's a REALLY bad idea to take off your sunglasses during a sunwave. Without them, your brain should recieve direct contact and NOTHING should be clear, as in like, it's like having a headache only ten times worse AND you're completely blind. See, maybe I should have made it clear. But this surge WAS NOT just a flash. The room is still completely white with light that no human or anyone with human eyesight could stand. SECONDLY: Lux did not get shot by Rek's initial fireing since he WAS behind Marion and the shots weren't aimed at him in the first place. THIRDLY: I never said that having your eyes closed blocks out the sunwave. It isn't about whether you see it or not. It's about the wave's contact with your eyes in general. According to Lux's profile, (which all of you probably should have read if you were going to meet him in battle) only sunblock and sunglasses really make any difference as to how strongly the light hits you. FOURTHLY: All the vampires in Val's room should be only momentarily blinded, like just for a minute or so, since they weren't in the bar room where most of the surge was sent. Anyone who got the full blast should only see a maze of colors. If they want to survive they'd better focus their senses on something other than sight, and it'd probably be smart to get the heck out of there. LASTLY: Lav, I'm no moderator, but your werewolve's complete invincibility and ignorance of everything that hits them is really getting to me. It's a little too OP. Just wanted to bring that up. OK. So if this little list of facts and info helps anyone and means post editing, then do that now so we can hurriedly get through this action scene. It's pretty cool so far! But not so fast everyone! 3qui1i6riM((Woah woah woah RS....hold up here! I figured (since you were not too specific) that the "BLINDING whiteness flashed through the doorway, streaming through into the front bar room." WAS a flash, or at least lasted like 3-5 seconds. I think that anything more then that is OP. Then, when you make it seem like the light will stay there as long as Lux wants it to...That is way too OP. But think about it, just a flash that blinds everyone for a while, is powerful enough. I mean that's a force to be reckoned with and no mistake, But when you make it so that it stays as long as he wants (or at least for a very long time) it gets to be too much.I never said that having your eyes closed blocks out the sunwave. Hmm...not sure who you're talking to there. Or maybe you're not. Maybe you're just stating something! All the vampires in Val's room should be only momentarily blinded, like just for a minute or so, since they weren't in the bar room where most of the surge was sent. Anyone who got the full blast should only see a maze of colors. If they want to survive they'd better focus their senses on something other than sight, and it'd probably be smart to get the heck out of there. All this goes back to my original point: it's just too OP. Lav, I'm no moderator, but your werewolve's complete invincibility and ignorance of everything that hits them is really getting to me. It's a little too OP. Just wanted to bring that up. I just have to comment on this one: That is just how Werewolves are, they ignore everything that hits them. Now let me emphasize, they -ignore- everything that hits them, not 'don't get effected by' what hits them. It is as though they just got shot, it's just that Weres have an extremly high tolerance for such things. See look: Vampies and heal themselves, and Weres can take a crap-ton of a beating. Now this is at least how my Vamps and Weres are....I don't know about Lavie's. I do not plan on changing my post until we can agree on a few things.)) | #21 Nov 29th 2007, 6:09am

3qui1i6riM((a few more things that I forgot to mention: in Reks' Character data it says under Immunities "Most magics and magical things have little effect on him. This effect is increased in Lychan form." This is why he can still see to a degree. And yes I know that taking your shades off would be a bad idea...But Reks doesn't. We all have to keep in mind that what we know and what our characters know are two different things. Maybe we all should read everybody else's character's data...=D)) | #22 Nov 29th 2007, 6:16am

RainingStars170((I never thought of Lux's light abilities as magic. It's sci-fi. But I think you have a point. Listen, I always knew that Lux had a very powerful weapon in hand. I DIDN'T know that you'd fuss over it. And you're right, EQ, we really should read everyone's character info at this rate. If we had, then this arguement probably wouldn't have come up. I don't want it in the Battle, I'll have to ask Mcfluffers to delete these posts once we're through making things clear.Okay; I still say closing your eyes, (was referring to Scotty's previous post,) doesn't block the sunwave. It's just, wasn't in Lux's weaknesses and...I'll talk to Anna about it. Fine; The light lasted only 5 seconds. However, if this fight were in daylight...nevermind. It's at night. So whatever. I don't want a quarrel. Also; Sorry Lav for poking at your weres. My fault mostly for not reading their info or underestanding standard Werewolf and Vampire tolerance rates. You see, Julianne is more human than vampire and I probably expected the same of everyone else. My bad. I'm not used to very powerful, uber people fighting. I keep expecting someone to topple over dead. lol. Come on ya'll, let's *lighten* up. We'll just have fun here, k? I think it's my fault this quarrel started, my bad. I was in a bad mood yesterday and I bet half that list of things I posted up there is pure rant. Oh and what Lav said about Werewolves: I couldn't agree more! And yes, closing your eyes won't help anything! One last thing I want to get out there: Let's take the time to describe, as much as we can, what our character is doing. This applies mostly to fighting, but still. Lavie(( I dunno))Marion was blinded by the light, he couldn't see anything, but he knew the enemy was in front of him and that it is a werewolf. So, knowing this, he leapt at the traitor wolf. Aaron and the rest were **. One of the people defending this place was a werewolf, trying to help vampires no less!! Almost instantly they responded to the challenge and the outrage, Aaron and Chelsea transforming into their werewolf form and charged. As this happened Chet fired a few more rounds aimed at the traitor's head before pulling out a gernade, though this wasn't an ordinary case with it's silver casing and a small UV bomb inside that would go off after the explosion. Lavie(ok now im at home... and not on that horrible school computers.... god i hate them...))Blinded as he was, Marion was almost surprised when they finally collided, but that didn't prevent him from being ready for it. As soon as they collided he lashed out at where he thought the traitor's head was, even as his enemy did the same. He could tell this would be a hard battle already, the traitor was strong and his attacks left deep, bloodly slashes in the flesh of Marion's face and chest. Aaron and Chelsea followed Marion, but they didn't jump in, instead they stabbed with their claws in the opening that they could find. Standing back and watching it all, Chet waited for the right moment to use the grenade. ((I LOVE MY COMPUTER!!!!)) ((ugh seems i was out of it yesterday, fixed it lol)) | #30 Dec 03rd 2007, 10:41am . I need to know what Reks did to Marion, before I can have him do something else. Like maybe say something like "Marion blocked his attacks then swung back" rather then "Marion met Reks's attacks with his own". and you should also say where he is aiming! So anyways...would ya mind adding a bit more detail to your last post? then I can post myself!! Oh and this goes for everybody!!!!! RainingStars170While the Weres were ripping each other apart, Lux had stumbled out of the building in disgust. Thanks to the unexpected werewolf battle, nothing was going right. With a swish of his bright reflective coat he marched towards Eva, "You need to move in with your men, or whatever you call them," he stated, "It seems our wolf friends are too bloodthirsty to get the job done quickly."INSIDE: The bright flash downstairs had startled Jules, but she determinedly continued upwards and onto the third floor. Hurriedly she burst into the first room she saw that faced the street, "Right, fellas!" she cried, slamming the crate full of ragged bottles infront of the window, "Give it all yuh got!" Eva scowled and nodded to Lux, turning to Bryce. "You have a headset, tell those damned Weres to do their job and get out of there before we blow up the place." Bryce nodded and spoke into his headset. "Hey, you all need to get those four Vamps and get out of there. We're planning on blowing the place up as soon as we have them." INSIDE: "Right, fellas!" she cried, slamming the crate full of ragged bottles infront of the window, "Give it all yuh got!" The other Vampires who had followed Jules up the stairs started chucking Molotov Cocktails out the windows at the Vampires below. OUTSIDE: One of the bottles hit a barrier and exploded, shooting flames over the Vampires who were hiding behind it. More bottles followed, shattering all about the Vampires and causing mass confusion. "Damn!" ((Ok hold up....they are in a hallway.....so unless she can teleport(which would be way too op for a were) there is now way around Reks!! just thought I'd mention that!)) At this, Aaron and Chelsea backed off from Reks, allowing Chet to throw his gernade. Reks, not knowing what drove him to do this, leaped for the grenade catching it, and promptly threw it back in the direction of the other weres. | #38 Dec 17th 2007, 3:51pm

RainingStars170((Either way there's an explosion, Lav. Perhaps, the grenade being your character's weapon, you could elaborate on those consequences.))| #40 Dec 20th 2007, 8:33am

LavieThe gernade exploded as it flew back towards the werewolves. Silver shrapnel flew everywhere, and a blinding flash of light filled the hallway.((ok brain fuzzed out.)) | #41 Dec 20th 2007, 9:42am

Scottish Princess((Okay so....now I'm going to end the Vamp battle.....yeah, I know, finally, right? sorry it took me so long....but anyways...))The Vampires upstairs continued chucking Molotov Cocktails at their enemies below, oblivious to the order of "Charge!" that Eva sent out to all her underlings. Eva and her minions charged the building just as Desmond accidentally dropped a lit Cocktail. The homemade grenade exploded upon hitting the ground and ignited the entirety of the main room. Remember all that alcohol that was splattered everywhere? Yeah, well, needless to say those upstairs would have to find their way out through a window, seeing as the entire bottom floor was engulfed in flames. The Vampires on the bottom floor were goners. the back exit was blocked by debris and the front was inaccessible due to the flames. ((Okay, Rain, now's your chance to get Jules and Lux out of there before the building...well...you know =D)) |

RainingStars170OUTSIDE;Idiots, thought Lux, watching as Eva foolishly and rashly led her minions to their deaths. Deciding the entire episode had been a fiasco and understanding he had better things to do, the man casually left the fiery inferno with a swish of his flashy trench coat. The vroom of his convertable roared in the distance as he drove off. INSIDE; "Oh..SH---T!" screamed a terrified voice from the upstairs room. Five seconds later as the flames ate their way through the dangerously creaking building, a figure crashed out a third story window. With a grunt, Julianne landed in a convenient dumpster. She was out and limping off into the dark recesses of the city by the time the Night Bar was fully consumed in orange hell. The fire trucks and crowds got there too late. So ended a long-drawn feud between the Nights and the Bloodswirths, all in one horrific night full of bombfire. Lux Mallory, content in his apartment on the far side of Ultropolis, never thought back on the affair. Julianne left the city state as soon as she could, putting that one fear-filled evening in her past. All that was left of the catastrophe to be remembered was the ash of the Night Bar, and even that blew away into the winds over time. |

Scottish Princess((oh, that's awesome! Well, now I officially wash my hands of the Ultropolis... Bye y'all!)) |
