Do you think people are like flowers? I mean, that our mood and emotions depend on the weather? It's like the flowers that turn their heads to see the sun.

I mean, in the winter, the days are long and cold, and I end up being depressed and with writers block and perfectly content to lable this forum "Dead". But now it's sunny and warm and I'm bursting with writing ideas, and I truely want to believe it was only hibernating. Is it just me, or does the weather affect everyone else like that too?

Well, I've already told you about my troll theory - my brain only works in cold weather.

But as for mood and stuff, I'm in a much better mood in summer. Spring weather like this actually puts me in the worst mood, because spring is the "almost" season (almost summer - but not quite, school's almost out - but not quite, the pool's almost open - but not quite, etc.) I hate spring.

(Random side note: why can't we use less than or greater than signs in the forums? How am I supposed to make my angry faces without them? TT_TT)

Really? I like spring! I feel really enspired then, and I write a lot. Summer still wins, though.

I know! And on your bio you can't use the carrot (^) so mine's really messed up . . . XO

I say we petition for the use of greater-than and less-than signs! *waves sign*

Seriously, you have no idea how many times I have a random _ in my bio or forum posts 'cause I forget I can't make angry faces and shifty-eyed faces.

Someone at my school actually did a study to see if rain really made people sad. Sadly, I never found out what her results were.

Seasonal Affective Disorder is real. And although I usually like gray days (light gray sky, not "I will bring a pointy reckoning upon your soul" rainy gray), too many gray days get depressing.

So can I now tell people in all seriousness that I have a mental illness? Fun. (Uh, kidding, of course . . . )

I -love- rainy days. I adore them. I will go out in the rain and dance and leap about like some kind of deranged, rabid deer. (Which generally earns me some strange looks, but whatever. ^_^) However, I think the best day is one that starts out sunny and hot, but gets grey and rainy in the late afternoon. That way, one can both go to the pool and enjoy the rain. -nods sagely-

pointy reckoning upon your soul

People should use language like this more often. Will, you're awsome.

I love being out in the rain, but the rain-sadness theory is there even so. Even when I know I can go out and laugh at Ms. Potatohead (Dice, King of Nicknames, returns!) jumping around in the rain, it just makes me sad somehow. The corny - the sky is crying- I guess has some remnants of truth . . .

Speaking of which, (or actually, not speaking about it) anyone see spidy-3? Or am I the lone geek here?

The whole 'pointy reckoning' thing . . . It's from the Crucible, innit?

the sky is crying

Tsuki-dear, you're my friend and all, but I don't think I'm -ever- going to stop laughing at you now. XD

anyone see spidy-3?

Why did you go while I was at work?!?! Now I hafta wait for Friday~. TT_TT

Yep.

I heard Spiderman 3 wasn't as good as the other two.

I've had three or four people tell me he dances on a piano or something, and that alone makes however bad the rest of the movie is worth it. *snorts*

The movie I'm -really- looking forward to, though, is Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Lunaaaa~~~~ (Ah, and Tsuki-chan? Y'know the whole H/L handholding scene? It's in the official OotP -colouring book-. How awesome is that?)

Yeah it was . . . um . . .

They just turned him into a scary character. His bangs frightened me.

And he was dancing ALL THE TIME! My friend and I swore he was going to burst into song and soon enough that would be the new cr@ppy musical to hit brodway - Spiderman!

It's in the official OotP -colouring book-.

I'm just trying to get over the fact that there is a COLORING BOOK. I don't know whether to run screaming from the room or just burst into laughter and glomp the unsuspecting person next to me. I've officailly desided the director is awsome, tho.

When I saw the picture, I squeed so loud I almost broke my mother's eardrums. ^_^ And how great is it that we have a H/L-er playing Harry, a H/L-er playing Luna, and a H/L-er directing movies 5, 6, and most likely 7? Yay, Harry Potter movies. (oO Never thought I'd ever actually say -that-.)

And I just had to comment -

cr@ppy

Kumquat. You're a teenager now. You can say 'crappy' without censoring it. I believe in you!

I know. I've been one for quite a few years. I just like the @ symbol. It makes 'crap' almost look elagent!

I would start using it in ordinary sentances except . . .

@bsolutely b@d ide@. It looks like I'm trying to be l33t.

Well, back to the spring thing: only 37 days 'til the end of school~! ^___^ -That's- got me in a good mood, even if spring hasn't.

And, as Kumquat and I go to the school with the longest school year and school day in the whole effin' state, how much sooner does everyone else get off?

Oh, I've been out of school since the 23rd. And I get back to school on August 13th. Now that school's out, I can catch up on my writing and reading (in fact, I'm in the planning stage for a pretty big collaborative project with someone on this site).

Good luck with the rest of your school year, Kumquat and Alice.
