Outlaw02 ExtremeTopic: 'Dark, Creepy and Twisted But Well Worth the Read' Thread Well, considering that the C2 of it was made, why not a thread for it?From the looks of it, I was surprised that my prose 'End Of All Hope' managed to end up in the C2. Even though it's an achievement, I'll have to pay attention on its dark and helpless storylining. Just to give the history of this prose; it started off as a prototype for a fanfic for 'Claymore', but failed to pull through. And after screwing up the my other Claymore fanfic, I decided to officially abandon my fanfiction.net profile and return here, and made an original fiction version of the prototype. Quite confusing I must say, but from the looks of it, it's going well. And yes, the title itself a based on a song title by Nightwish. So, how about the rest? How were your stories in the C2 were developed from? Might be interesting to hear how it was created. Every story made has its origin, right? And of course, I'm reading up Melissa's Synthetic Emotions; it really made me feel comfortable, considering that I'm into mechatronics aspects... O²Extreme, Ghost Of The Navigator |

Kurogane Black NinjaHey, speaking of Melissa Norvell I want to know where she got the inspiration for Sacrifice! |

Melissa NorvellI have several in there, but hell, everyone knows I write for that genre.Synthetic Emotions- Well, everyone seems to think I got this from Chobits (however that was not the case and it slightly annoys me that everyone says it, but seeming unoriginal makes me not want to work on it as much as my other stories which is a shame because it ends up being nothing like Chobits) It did not original from Chobits sources. It was just a theory of mine. There are all of these robotic shoujo manga where a robot girl falls for a human boy so I decided to do something that was out of the ordinary. I wanted to write something that would turn dark and bring about a realism that most lovey-dovey robotic shoujo didn't. I wanted to write something that wasn't so...What's the word? Cliche'? Over used? The bad guys will not end up being what everyone thinks they are and everyone involved will have darker characterization as the storyline moves along. I actually plan on writing the next chapter tomorrow, since I just got my inspiration back. I also wanted to write a story that didn't involve homosexuality like my other pieces such as Sacrifice and Into the Void. It was my first completely hetero work besides To Wish Upon the Sea and that story has more of a whimsical fantasy type of feel behind it. Now, Sumiko-chan in Twisted Land was quite different. This derived from reading CLAMP's Miyuki-chan in Wonderland and X/1999 in one night. My mind began to develop this dark and twisted world that seemed like a twisted vision Edgar Allen Poe would have, wrapped up in tons of sublimminal messages dealing with life, death and fate itself. I really wanted to write a work that made people think. Something that was deep and perplexing and something that utterly shocked people in each chapter. However, writing such a work is very hard starting out. For some reason, every time I write this piece, I'm mentally exhaused after each chapter. I guess this is because I put so much of myself into this story that I feel as if I'm giving my soul to it. This is comparable to Sacrifice, although I admit that I have much more fun writing Sacrifice but it was established from the beginning. Sumiko-chan was a different story altogether and I stuck an Arc first that I hadn't planned out so it was much harder starting from scratch and with two characters that are the next chapter that I had nothing more then looks and names for. Into the Void was a strange one. I had been watching the news and thinking about terrorism. I wanted to make a series based upon it since it was a current subject. I guess it was just a current issue thing. |

Outlaw02 ExtremeJust a heads up, a prequel of "End Of All Hope" is underway, by the title of "Tainted Crimson".The prequel was initially a Claymore fanfic in fanfiction before it failed through. Though, I'm giving it a second chance to redeem itself in fictionpress. The prequel will be posted after "End Of All Hope" is completed. Tainted Crimson is inspired by these... -Claymore -Valkryrie Profile 2: Silmeria -Yngwie Malmsteen's Neo-Classical Metal themed songs -Nightwish's Symphonic Metal themed songs Be on the lookout. Anyway, is it just me, or is the forum getting... a little too quiet? EDIT: All right, since End Of All Hope is done... I may have to confess something... -The last chapter, I had the idea of making Raquel survive the ordeal. However, since the title is as such, I had to modify in such a way that even Raquel sees death. -Jeanette was initially to save the duo again with a missing left arm, but considering that it maybe a bit too unrealistic in someway (Take note, I'm aiming for pseudo-realism, some maybe real, others maybe impossible), it was dropped. -Before all that, I had the idea that the prose would span 5 chapters, with Raquel and Jeanette surviving the ordeal, but it was scrapped as well. -A loophole was made on purpose; leaving readers to decide Jeanette's fate, but it felt too open-ended for her part. | #4 Nov 10th 2007, 12:34am .
