Topic: New story in the making. Titled "Bloodfest"
Well, it is as said, the other prose I have, "The Cutter", will be removed in place for this upcoming one. This would be my very first attempt at a full blown fantasy prose, after seeing Melissa Norvell's "Into The Void", and wolfblood82's "Circles Of Arven". These two and other inspirations from other sources have pushed me to create one, and give a shot at it. As of now, the main characters have been done, only the plot is still in development.

Here are the main characters...

-Hrist Aegis, female, 24 years old, wields a standard, 1 metre long sword -main-

-Bristol Silverlake, male, 28 years old, wields a broadsword -main-

-Scarla Turgen, female, 30 years old, wields a halberd

-Taras Vassily, female, 20 years old, wields a musket and katzbalger

-Ruse Admiral, male, 31 years old, wields a claymore

Inspirations other than the two said proses mentioned.

-Valkyrie Profile II: Silmeria

-Wild Arms 4

-Claymore

-Disgaea II

-Radiata Stories

Anyway, I'll update this thread should there be any changes. And yes, discuss if you can.

"End Of All Hope", and "Tainted Crimson" are the experimental stages of me making a fantasy based prose.

Right, the first chapter has been posted up, and after several edits to nitpick out some glaring errors, I'm on the way of doing up the second chapter. The plot is finally in place after so much struggle with the first chapter. The only issue is that I need to be consistent with what I'm doing, else it'll just fall apart.

If any of you guys have any ideas or suggestions 'logical to the prose, mind you', please do state down. It could help me in one way or another should I just suddenly run out of steam. However, the characters are still in the process of development, with Hrist going for the 'serious' type with a minor complex while Bristol as the 'relaxed' type. Others, I'm not too sure, but Scarla would probably be a cross of both, but without the complex part.

Here we go, the second chapter is done and up. Though, I have to say that I'm getting a bit more hooked to doing this prose, very much so that I even went slightly ahead on the third chapter before taking a break. Oh, and yes, if music were to be used for the scenes... I receommend those from Black Sabbath, where the band had Tommi Iommi as the vocals instead of Osbourne. The songs really fit well, if I can comment on it.

By the way, it seems that this thread is starting to become like my own blog of sorts... *winces*

Don't sweat it. No one ever vomitted from blogging--I think. If it keeps you writing, then go for it. And I hope this story works out for you.

I could use something like this myself. My motivation is high, but my writing flow has gone down the drain. Grinding out every single word is getting frustrating. So maybe I'll use you as my inspiration.

By the way. When did you turn Extreme? Have I really been gone that long?

Edit*

And I just realized how old this thread was.

Well, if you notice my profile, there's a drop in stories; I've pulled out Tokyo Battalions series, now re-writing it with a whole new plot. I was planning to use the 'Extreme' name just to mark that I'm doing a overhaul, but meh... guess I'll see this name as reaching a new level now. :P

But in any case, it's been a long time since you dropped by, Dice. The only thing I can hope for you is not doing the 'Darket'. Darket's back, but... never heard from him since... And as for me, ever since you were on hiatus, I soldiered on till now, very much like a lone mercenary.

In any way... to my... mini blog.

Bloodfest

-10th Chapter is on its way with 11th Chapter already in mind, and from the looks of it, I might bring Hell for a while just to keep the story title relevant. Oh yes, the 'Tokyo Battalions' feel will be there, big time. :P

Well, it's good to know you kept going. I never stopped writing either, I just needed to break away from this site. My stories were so popular, the pressure I put on myself to keep writing flawlessly (or as close as I ever got to that) started to drive me insane.

And about Darket, I didn't even know he returned. I hope that guy is all right. But anyway, I don't think I'll be doing the same as he did. Because I've decided to handle this site differently. My more serious works will be kept offline to avoid that pressure, since I'm more relaxed when I know I'm not posting it here. Everything I post here will be just for fun and experimentation, with no outline -- just like the old Strike Me Down days. I'll still take the story seriously, and happily accept CC, but I'm really just winging it and letting the story fly.

Bloodfest sounds like an interesting fantasy story. I might give it shot. Either that, or Touge Racer. Heck, maybe I'll read both. I don't have a ton of time anymore, so I can't promise anything. But good luck with everything.

Well, hope to see your new proses dropping by into FP. :P Oh, and yes, 'Touge Racer' is a small portion of 'Racer 666: Shutokou Wars', concentrating deeper on a few characters before they hit the highway racing scene. It's just like the old rusty 'Tokyo Battalions' with 'Shattered Entity' as the other side, but in 'Touge Racer', it's more simpler, considering how I had planned it. :D

I just dropped some reviews for Touge Racer. It's pretty good. I'm not sure if I started reading Racer 666 a long time ago or not. I might have to start from the beginning, since I don't remember much about it.

Anyway, a funny thing happened. In the middle of the night, I wrote a short romance story. It's my first time ever writing for the romance genre, oddly enough. I'm proud of it, especially the twist to it.

What happened to Shattered Entity? I liked that story. Tessa Schneider was such a great character, I still remember her name after all this time. And that's saying a lot.

Sadly, Shattered Entity is removed as it is no longer canon to the new revamped series. That aside, it'll be a while before Tessa re-debuts back into the new 'Tokyo Battalions'. But even so, there is a temporary replacement at the moment before Tessa comes in. It is based on that orange haired 'Nazi' German, but tweaked it in a way still controversial... That's where Hyun-Su comes in, hailing from North Korea. Her characteristics is still original, hence don't worry of seeing similarities between them.

Heck, even if you read on 'Bloodfest', don't be surprised if you see a character very similar to Tessa, who goes by the name of Taras Vassily, the one who had the remnants of the original 'Tokyo Battalions' stint (I meant the often crazed nature of characters).

But if you insist of seeing Tessa in action, drop by to an experimental fantasy prose of mine titled 'End Of All Hope'. It is only a 4-part short story, and the prequel is on hold for the time being, titled 'Tainted Crimson'. Hope that provides you the need to see your Tessa, :P

Come to think of it, you're the second person asking where Tessa ad gone to.

Underground Constellation
The Underground Constellation has returned.

Yeah, this is Dice. I had forgotten about this account. I'm considering trying to revive the group. I'm just not sure how to go about it. Or what the group's purpose would even be, other than trying to help each other improve. I think making it aka Meteor-Infinity--with a ton of collaboration--would be a mistake, because we saw how that went downhill.

Any ideas would be welcome.

And yeah, maybe I'll check out those stories. It would be cool to see Tessa destroying things again.

Who else asked about Tessa? I'm curious.

Well, the other person asking for Tessa is wolfblood82, a good online friend of mine who also writes here in Fictionpress as well, by the same name. Since you're an avid fantasy reader, do drop by on his as well.

UPDATE:

Chapter 10 is finally up, 11th chapter is undergoing a big change, most probably concentrating more development on Scarla and Bristol before turning to Victoria and Felix.

Chapter 11 is finally in the works after a lot of swearing about losing my attention to this fantasy prose. Another character will be added in, and I've decided to make this prose a slow burner, most probably aiming for 50 chapters at least.

The characters I seriously need to work on...

- Hrist Aegis

- Taras Vassily

- Maverick Nightwing

- Aesir Frost

But currently concentrating on...

- Bristol Silverlake

- Scarla Turgen

- New Character

And to give some idea on how I write and did the plotting, most of the times I'm inspired by one band of the NWOBHM; Black Sabbath. However, the songs used are the ones only when Tommi Iommi was the vocal of the band. The next probable theme song of Bloodfest might be 'Valhalla' from the group.

Here's some facts/trivia about the current characters...

Hrist Aegis

-----------

- Name taken from two characters in Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria. They are Hrist, the eldest valkyrie, and Aegis, a sorcerer.

Bristol Silverlake

------------------

- Name taken from a character in Radiata Stories. It's from Ridley Silverlake, the surname is used.

- Appearance is inspired from Muza in Thousand Arms.

Scarla Turgen

-------------

- Surname is inspired by a location in Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria. The place in the said game is called Turgen Mines.

- Appearance is heavily inspired by Gardenia in .hack games.

Taras Vassily

-------------

- Appearance is of the same template as Tessa Schneider (One of my very first characters, currently under going altering), but altered heavily to represent nothing similar to her.

- Inspired lightly by Sadako from The Ring

- Her position as a Cossack was inspired by an RTS game titled 'Cossacks: back To War'

Rebecca Swindon

---------------

- Appearance is inspired by a blonde drifter NPC in Wild Arms 4, named Annie.

- Name is taken from Wild Arms 4, by a brunette drifter NPC called Rebecca.
