Topic: Ever written anything in a creative style?
I used to be known for creative things (my favorite being Typo Junkyard, which was deleted), and I just wrote something different than anything I've ever seen.

I'd like to know if you all have anything like that. Something unique in the writing style and/or overall presentation of the story or poem. If you do, I'd like to read it, so let me know.

Well, let me see... Out of the stories I have posted here, I think three of them would be unique in writing style used (though, I don't know how unique they are now as it's been a while since they were first posted). They are:

HeAdCaSe! My attempt at writing something very manga-ish. Inspired heavily by 'FLCL' and 'Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi'. Warning, eyes might bleed after reading...so proceed with caution.

slash/DANCE fUtUrE. What could best be described as a 'literary anime'. I was on a serious 'Samurai Champloo' high when I started to write this (as I LOVED the style involved in teh first episode...but after the first, 'Samurai Champloo' got seriously cliche and lost that funky edge that the first episode had). I think this one had pretty much everything that an anime had...OP and ED, previews for the next "episodes" by the characters and the dreaded commercial bumps as well! LOL! I really think I might have gone a bit too far with that one!

T D i M : link01 : real. The story was pretty much inspired by 'Serial Experiments Lain', 'Paranoia Agent' and any other strange, outside-the-box style anime. I believe it might be exceedingly overly descriptive and somewhat jerky in prose (still haven't gone through to do a detailed beta-read), but I was praised for the format and presentation I used. So, it's there if you want to take a look.

Well anyways, those are my three stories that I think have a unique writing style! Hope you take a look and enjoy them!

I'll be sure to check those stories out when I have time. Just by the titles, I get the feeling they're exactly what I'm looking for. Wild and creative.

Thanks for the info.

I guess I have one. The idea is that it's time to turn all those high school romances into something interesting for once. I simply had enough. See if you can guess the truth behind the whole ideal though.

Elegant Emotions

Little does Luna know that her flawed life is but a part of an engineered competition that her brother participated in. However, there is a lot more than simply a competition and a prize it's an evil attempt at altering humanity for life.

Well, I have a few actually. I'm quite known for my unique stories around FictionPress.

Tsurugi: Tsubasa no Gedatsu

This is strange for me because it's nearly completely out of my genre to even write. I find it akward and even hard to write chapters for it because its really surreal and not quite my dark and horror based genre. It's more of my whimsical and uplifting genre. That and it only has one character as a main character vs. my multi-character works.

Tragic Play X

This one is just strange and I somewhat was inspired by St. Tail and a few dark thoughts here and there. It's really just my demented mind and you'd really have to read it to get what exactly I mean. It is one of my favorite stories to write because it always comes out just as creepy as I want it to.

I also wrote this to prove that someone can actually write a good vampire story here. I get so sick of people's cliche's as far as THAT type of story goes. I've done my research and itirritates me slightly that there are so many generic vampire stories around here.

While there is not a vampire in this at the moment there will be in later chapters.

Sumiko-chan in Twisted Land

Well...This is strange and very complex even for me. I like giving myself a fun writing challenge and I seem to have done it. I've interwoven the character's stories so greatly that it physically takes all of my energy just to write one chapter. It's a pretty intense story and I've not written one like it before.

Sacrifice

I wrote this story to prove a few points to some of the authors here and its my favorite to write but it deals with how people view things and how far misconceptions can be. It is a strange story to write because it doesn't stick to any one character and there really is no 'main' or centeral focus point as far as characters go. One review found it a little confusing and easy to get lost in. I don't know if its inexperience, they get confused easily or because the story really is that way in some aspects. It's also a take on how secrets and lies can twist people into monsters themselves in a strange way.

Fractured Reflections

This one is a little strange for me because I usually don't start off a story so mundanely. I think Sweet Child addressed that to me when I first wrote it. Even though I just started this story, it's taking off pretty well. It's the first story I've written about a war involving many different beings and its not your typical 'white wings and pointy ears rule all' story.

I don't know if this is what you were looking for but it may help you all the same.

Sorry for not linking anyone but just lick on my name and you'll see the stories I speak of.

Did I seriously just write 'lick on my name' at the end of that? Oo;

You'll have to excuse my typos. I've had a long, hard day at work

One idea I have used in my Infowar series is starting off and ending the story with an exchange of emails. Interludes between two unknown characters via email exchange also appear throughout the chapters.

For another scifi, "Nanowar," I was thinking of telling the whole story via news articles from a set of news blogs. (Each of the main factions would have its own ideological bias, of course.)

As for my new "Empires of the Sun," I start off with a quasi-historical format. A historian and recovered journal are two ways the basic premise is introduced.

But for an awesome way of telling a horror story, check out "Hul" by Ascott. It's written like a journal of an explorer that enters a massive industrial wasteland.

Check out my profile and follow the link to the youtube promo, it showcases some excerpts from my stories. I'm always trying to reinvent myself and present something new to the reader.

Though if you just want a quick-link on my profile, The Nihilist is quite a journey, and a One-shot quick read.
