![]() Two king size beds in two separate bedrooms. A common room with a large flat-screen TV with a game console attached to it, small kitchen, bathroom with a large bath and shower, and a refrigerator full of cans of cola. 3/28/2010 #1 |
![]() After a bit of searching and getting off the elevator on the wrong floor, Logan finally found the room. It would've taken him longer if Kayiel hadn't been with him and that knowledge made him smirk. He feverently hoped that tonight hadn't ruined his chances at being friends with Kayiel as the rabbit was cool to hangout with. As the door swung open and Logan got a good look at where he would be staying he sighed at the simplicity of it, everything was just perfect. It was a large central room with a flat-screen connected to an XBOX with three games already waiting to be played. Not meaning to be rude, but really wanting to be alone after everything that had happened so far. Logan made a beeline to his room, choosing the one on the right side of the central room. He called good night to Kayiel before closing the door and without turning on the light he untied the sword from across his chest and lying it on the floor next to the bed, Logan sank onto the soft comforter. Outside his room he heard Kayiel moving around for a while before things quieted down and Logan was alone with the silence of the night. He glanced at the alarm clock beside the bed and groaned at the time, it was now half past ten and he was yet to fall asleep. Knowing that sleep wasn't going to be his friend that night, Logan sat up in bed and stared down at his sword wondering how long he would be able to stay at the resort. He had left the college with nothing except the sword and plenty of money, he would give anything to just be able to have a piece of paper and write all his thoughts down, maybe then he could make a little more sense of them. Remembering the games in the central room Logan sighed and left his room. Keeping the lights off to let Kayiel sleep, he turned the TV down low and selecting a random game (Modern Warfare 2) Logan settled in and focused on shooting the enemy soldiers as a way to make his thoughts go away. 3/30/2010 #2 |
![]() Waking up the next morning, Kayiel got out of bed and walked out of his room. Groggily, he saw the flat screen in the common room lit up with the lights and sounds of gunfire and explosions. Trying to figure out the reason on why the TV could be on this early in the morning, he soon remembered that he was sharing the suite with his wolf friend Logan. Making his way to the figure perched in an upright and focused position on the couch, he soon recognized as it being his new roommate. "Logan?" he asked, half-asleep. Tapping his shoulder again, not learning the lesson the first time, he jumped and got up, holding an imaginary sword again. Kayiel was lucky enough that he had left it on the floor of his bedroom and not beside him as he played on the TV. "Why are you playing games this early in the morning?" Yawning, he saw that the time was about 6AM and the sun was rising right outside their window. 3/31/2010 #3 |
![]() Dimly hearing a voice calling his name, Logan felt something tap him and reacted on instinct and dropping the controller. He jumped to his feet reaching up and drawing his sword with a low growl as he turned to find Kayiel staring at him in shock. It took him a few seconds to realize that he wasn't even holding his sword in the first place, and secondly, he had once again freaked out for no reason. Swallowing his embarrasment, Logan glanced at the clock and to his surprise he found that it was early in the morning already and the sun was already rising into the sky. Straighting he thought of what to say to Kayiel question and almost guiltily looked back at his game where his character had just been killed. Not finding a good excuse, Logan shrugged and lamely replied, "I couldn't sleep, sorry if I woke you." 3/31/2010 #4 |
![]() Chuckling at the death of his character on the game, Kayiel sat next to Logan as he went back to playing. "You didn't wake me..." After a few seconds of his character mindless killing players online under the gamertag DP_Logan19, Kayiel realized something that he had said earlier. "Wait... You couldn't sleep so you were up all night?" 3/31/2010 #5 |
![]() Logan scored a headshot, focusing his attention again on the game to try and get his points back from Kayiel's interuption and tiredly replied, "I guess that I have been up all night, I didn't realize how much time had gone by." He groaned as he was knifed from behind and with an irritated grunt he leaned forward and switched off the XBOX. Yawning, Logan shook his head and stretching his neck said, "I tend to zone out some times and loose track of time." 3/31/2010 #6 |
![]() ((D/Cer!!! :) )) "I can see that," Kayiel noticed as Logan disconnected from the multiplayer lobby. Getting up, he yawned and went into the bedroom to get dressed for the day. Although, after searching his room several times his suitcase was nowhere to be found. Walking out the door, he saw that Logan was just lying on the couch exhausted after playing video games all night. "Hey Logan," Kayiel said, looking around the common room for a medium-sized black suitcase. "Have you seen my suitcase around anywhere?" 3/31/2010 #7 |
![]() Rubbing his eyes, Logan frowned at Kayiel as the rabbit again looked around the room, a little bit frantically this time. "I don't remember seeing you with a suitcase." His frown deepened as he thought about it for a minute and then slowly sat up with a yawn as an idea came to him, "Come to think of it, didn't you have one on the portal tube?" 3/31/2010 #8 |
![]() Frantically searching around the room, even looking behind the TV, one of Kayiel's ears perked up at the word 'portal tube'. "You can't be serious..." he said, running to the bathroom, kitchen and his bedroom for a second time. "There's no way! I left it in the portal tube!!" Kayiel shouted loudly and went back in his room, slamming the door. 3/31/2010 . Edited 4/01/2010 #9 |
![]() ((Slapping the door huh?)) Logan watched Kayiel rush into his bedroom and slam the door behind him with mild interest. Sleep was tugging at him at he just wanted to lie back down on the couch and drift off. But it was a new day and he had more important things to worry about, like getting clothes to wear while he was at the resort. He was sure they had a clothing store here but what he really hoped for was a nice bookstore where he might pick up a journal so that he could write. Logan was sure he wouldn't have stayed up all night if he had been able to write down his thoughts. He got to his feet and stretched before walking into the restroom and shutting the door behind him he started the shower, hoping the hot water would wake him up. He stripped and entered the hot spray of water and thought about what he was going to do, Kayiel really seemed worried about his suitcase. After a few minutes in the shower, he grabbed a towel and gathering his clothes made his way back to his room, glad that Kayiel was still shut up in his own room. Once dressed, Logan sighed and after confirming his own desicion in his head, left his room and walked to Kayiel's door. He knocked and called out, "Hey Kayiel, if you are so worried about your suitcase. How about I help you look around the resort for it?" 4/01/2010 #10 |
![]() ((Slapping... *facepalm* Bad typo!)) As Logan knocked, the door swung open to reveal the bedroom being completely thrashed. Everything was torn inside out and upside down, and in general all over the place. Hearing his offer, Kayiel poked his head out of the closet, a hanger attached to one of his ears. "That would be most helpful," he said, stepping out of the room and quickly heading downstairs into the lobby. 4/01/2010 #11 |
![]() Logan stood there in the doorway looking at the destruction of the room in shock, the warm shower had done wonders for his mood and he was feeling more awake but his brain was still slowed by the lack of sleep, and for a second he couldn't figureout what had happened to the room. When Kayiel's head poked out of the closet everything clicked into place though the hanger attacted to his right ear was an odd fashion choice for the rabbit in Logan's opinion. Clearly not realizing he was wearing something foreign to his wardrobe, Kayiel accepted his offer and raced out of the room. In a deft movement, Logan grabbed the hanger and easily pulled it from the ear and then turned to follow after Kayiel who had already left the room. He threw the hanger into the mess that already was the rabbit's room and then ran after him, wondering what the heck could be so important in that suitcase to make Kayiel this crazy.
