![]() A small, intimate hut-like cafe with an open balcony for those clear, starry nights and booths in the back for more intimately romantic dinners. There is a plazma-screen television for those sports junkies above the well-stocked bar. WANTED: Waiters/Waitresses to work full and part time. Applicants may be residents or vsiting customers of the hotel and are encouraged to apply. Staff discounts are included. 12/07/2008 #1 |
![]() Megan walked into the cafe, heading to the back booth mostly because of her outfit and it was almost dark enough for no one to notice. There wasn't any one around, the only sound was the faint chatter on the TV screen over by the bar. 12/07/2008 #2 |
![]() Zander smiled as he followed her and glanced around. He was surprised and a little glad she'd chosen a booth near the back. It meant they wouldn't be so exposed as they would be on the deck, placating his instinctive need not to leave his back open to attack. Sliding into the booth, he picked up the menu, looking it over. A big juicy steak was sounding good. 12/07/2008 #3 |
![]() A waiter walked over to take their order. Megan ordered a welldone steak with rice. She felt uncomfortable by the waiter's stare. She was sitting so she knew he couldnt tell what she was or wasnt wearing underneath Zander's shorts. So what was he staring at? 12/07/2008 #4 |
![]() The hairs on the back of Zander's neck rose as he caught the scent of the other male and glared at him, unable to resist the urge to shift closer possessively. He ordered a rare steak sharply and continued glaring, waiting for him to leave. 12/07/2008 #5 |
![]() The waiter locked eyes with Zander as though sending an unspoken message, though the waiter seemed slightly amused before he left with their orders. Megan strangely didn't move away from Zander. "he was probably staring because of the way we look." She resisted the urge to brush at her hair and clothes 12/07/2008 #6 |
![]() Zander just grunted and shrugged, looking down at the table with a small frown. The guy was off... the animal within wanted to jump up and tear the male's head off for staring at her. For daring to even look at her. Quashing the urge, he pusled over it. He never reacted so strongly to humans. Shooting her a sly look, he figured she must be affecting him more than he thought. 12/07/2008 . Edited 12/07/2008 #7 |
![]() The waiter returned with their orders. His knowing nod to Zander showed he knew exactly what was going on. He didn't care about Megan though, just surprised at their state. He could sense the energy pulsing between them. He didn't say anything though and left quickly to the kitchen to chat with the sparse few workers around he figured those two would need their privacy. Megan wasn't worried the second time the waiter came around He didn't stare at her this time or anything which just cemented her thoughts that he had been surprised by their dissheveledness.maybe they should have stayed back in the room. It was too late now though so she cut into her steak and took a bite 12/07/2008 #8 |
![]() Seeing the waiters nod, Zander forced himself to relax slightly, leaning back into the booth chair. He watched Megan for a moment then smiled. She was so delicate. Usuall he would just wolf his down but thought better of it and picked up his knife and fork carefully, cutting into it. He had no idea there were others like him around the area... perhaps he should be more careful. He would have to restructure his hunting ground carefully to make sure he did not cross into any other pack's territory. He would be very sorry if he did and they caught up with him. 12/07/2008 #9 |
![]() She watched him eat very carefully and she knew that this wasn't the way he usually ate but she didn't say anything. The last thing she wanted to do was embarrass him so she kept on eating. Luckily she had a strong stomach and wasn't affected by someone eating a steak rare 12/07/2008 #10 |
![]() He finished his meal quickly and shifted in his seat, watching her form the corner of his eye. He sighed to himself, just happy to be there. 12/07/2008 #11 |
![]() Megan ate about half of her steak and she was full. She was quiet. 12/07/2008 #12 |
![]() Zander sat there, feeling the awkward silence potently. He swung his feet a little then looked ta her with a crooked smile. "Wanna go for a walk?" 12/07/2008 #13 |
![]() ((Megan's back!!!)) She nodded, flashing him a small smile before getting up from her seat. 3/25/2009 #14 |
![]() Zander grinned in return, surprised that she would really agree so readily... then again, he had sort of been expecting it- call it animal instinct. He stood with her and rolled his shoulders, hearing them pop bfore leaving the money and a descent tip on the table. "Where would you like to go?" he asked, stepping around the chairs. 3/25/2009 #15 |
![]() Megan shook her had as he rolled his shoulders with a loud pop. She was really enjoying the break away from the hectic pressures from her life. The quiet. "the beach would be great. it's dark and quiet." She watched as the waiter cleared their table, picking up the tip with a thanks. She averted her dark green eyes from the man because he still made her uncomfortable and more than aware of what she was and wasnt wearing "let's go." 3/25/2009 #16 |
![]() Nodding and smiling appreciatively, Zander smiled at her. He would have picked the spot for the exact reason. "Excellent choice." he told her, motioning to the door, "Ladies first." 3/25/2009 #17 |
![]() Her dark green eyes studied Zander for a second to make sure he wasn't mocking then she smiled walking out the door (to beach side) 3/25/2009 #18 |
![]() Watching her go, Zander chuckled to himself and followed her out. ((To Beach-Side)) 3/25/2009 #19 |
![]() As Logan and Kayiel entered the cafe and were greeted by one of the waiters, Logan fell back a step unsure of what to say. They weren't here as a couple, but if he asked for a table for two the only interpretation that could be gotten from that was not good in Logan's books. The waiter's smile faded around the edges at seeing Logan's frown and hesitantly asked, "And how might I help you two tonight?" Without another choice and hoping that Kayiel wouldn't say anything, Logan shrugged and said, "Table for two please, booth if you've one available." The waiter paused for a second, a twinkle in his eye that Logan recognized all to well and mentally he imagined himself strangling the small man. The waiter grinned knowingly at Kayiel who thankfully wasn't paying attention and led them further into the cafe humming a small ditty that Logan didn't recognize. 3/28/2010 #20 |
![]() Following the humming waiter, Kayiel and Logan made their way to the back of the cafe where the booths were located. He had thought due to the separation of these booths from the bar and the other tables that they were for more romantic encounters, but quickly thought otherwise. He was originally the one that had suggested the cafe so he couldn't say anything about the seating arrangements. "Here you are gentlemen," the waiter said kindly, showing us to the booth with a private curtain rolled up to the side of it. Kayiel and Logan both sat down at the table, but at direct opposites, trying to refute the waiter's initial idea of their relationship. Unfortunately, this plan had failed. "And here are your menus," he said, handing the two of them a menu with various appetizers, entrees and desserts. "You'll see that we have a fabulous two for twenty deal, where you get one appetizer, two entrees and... one dessert." The waiter suggestively looked at Logan, who was trying to hold back a strong growl in his throat. "I'll leave you two alone to figure out the drink situation." He winked and walked away from the booth. 3/28/2010 #21 |
![]() Logan glared after the waiter, his hands clenched tightly on the menu. He had asked for a booth becuase he liked to sit in booths when he went to restruants, gave him the opportunity to be comfortable while he ate. Plus if a good idea came to him he could lean up against the wall and write on one of the napkins. Obviously, the booths here served a different purpose. Judging by the seperation from the other tables, plus the private curtain that could be pulled in front of their booth, Logan had a sinking feeling that he had accidently chosen the qoute 'romantic' side of the restraunt. Realizing that he was crushing the menu, Logan forced himself to relax despite the situation he was in. He unclenched his hands and focusing on the menu to try and hide his irritation at both the waiter and himself, Logan asked in a clipped voice that was angrier than he meant, "So anything look good?" 3/28/2010 #22 |
![]() Kayiel looked over his menu over at the fairly irritated Logan and went back, trying not to look him in the eye. "Oh, well... there's so much to choose from..." His eyes scanned the list, over the fresh steak, delicious hamburgers, and fantastic seafood. Going over to the signature dishes of the menu, something caught his eye. "Oooh! A Teriyaki Chicken Bowl with rice and carrots! Sounds great..." he said aloud, looking at the strange look that Logan was giving him. "Of course, that just might be me... What about you?" 3/28/2010 #23 |
![]() Teriyaki Chicken Bowl...with carrots huh? Logan thought with a grin glancing at Kayiel with humor in his eyes, trust a rabbit to spot that. He looked back down at the menu as Kayiel met his eyes and this time he actually tried to find something to eat before that annoying waiter came back. His eyes lingered over the fresh steak, wondering for a second if Kayiel would mind if he ordered that. Chancing a glance over the menu to see if Kayiel was still looking at him Logan replied, "I was thinking about the fresh steak and potatoes, been a while since I had something like that." Out of the corner of his eye he saw the smiling waiter coming back toward them and mentally prepared himself for the smug inuendo that was sure to be coming. 3/28/2010 #24 |
![]() "Sounds like a good choice." Kayiel said, seeing the waiter at ten 'o clock. Logan tensed up, inevitably waiting for the next comment. "So, gentlemen." He said, whipping out the notepad from his side. "Have we made our drink choices?" Kayiel stared blankly at Logan, more focused on the entree rather than the drink. Logan still had the irritated expression all over his face, so he decided to start the order. "Umm... how about a glass of beer? Whatever you have on tap is fine." he said, looking back at the menu to find his entree choice. The waiter scribbled down the order and then looked over at Logan for his order. 3/28/2010 #25 |
![]() Logan shrugged and with his irritation clearly evident in his voice said, "I'll take a beer as well and I'm feeling extremely hungry tonight. I'm going to order the fresh steak." He looked at the waiter, letting a slight growl slip between his jaws as he smiled and said, "You might want to hurry on that order." The waiter took the comment and the fake threat without batting an eye much to Logan's chargin. If anything the smile that bloomed across his face as he turned back to Kayiel was the largest one that Logan had seen yet on his face. He had hoped to send the waiter scurrying off and instead had confrimed to the waiter that they were a couple. He mentally groaned and wanting the waiter to go away said, "My friend wants the Teriaky Chicken bowl with rice and extra carrots if you could please." The waiter jotted it down on his pad and with that smile still on his face cheerily said, "I will be back with your drinks in a few minutes, I'm sure you two want all the privacy you can get." As Logan turned to yell at him to get the heck away from them, the waiter tugged on the curtain and it slid closed, cutting them off from the rest of the restruant. 3/28/2010 #26 |
![]() Kayiel was kind of shocked to see that Logan had actually ordered for him, instead of waiting for the waiter to come back to him to ask. Also, he couldn't help to notice that this irritation was not going away. He thought it was because of the waiter, but he was being really friendly and cheerful and everything, that it couldn't have been him. Although, when the waiter closed the private curtain for the booth, which was usually for couples to have their privacy, the growl in Logan's throat made it way out. "Umm... is there something you want to talk about?" Kayiel said, slightly cautious that he was either going to kill the waiter with his sword or kill him for recommending this cafe. 3/28/2010 #27 |
![]() Logan glanced sharply at Kayiel and forced a smile as he shook his head, today just seemed to be his day for him to make a horrible impression. Kayiel must think he was a freak by now, no need to add to it. Thinking quickly for something to talk about that wouldn't add to the ackwardness of the situation he shrugged and replied, "Uh sure, what brought you here to the resort?" 3/28/2010 #28 |
![]() Shocked at the answer of another question, Kayiel decided to go along with it. "The resort? Oh, I saw a flyer in the common room of my old university. I thought it would make a nice vacation place, so I decided to pack my bags and head on out here. After seeing the beautiful landscape and... various guests, I don't think I'll ever want to leave." Trying to get his mind off of Celene's beauty, he returned his attention to the guest that was sitting in front of him. "What's your reason for visiting the Paradise Resorts?" he asked back, looking through the curtain to see if the waiter was coming with their drinks. 3/28/2010 #29 |
![]() Logan shrugged, feeling the sword against his back. He grinned and replied, "Same as you I guess, I had nothing to do and saw a flyer for a resort so I decided to take a break from school and come here." The waiter still hadn't brought them their drinks and Logan guessed that the waiter had taken his threat to mean that he had wanted a good amount of time alone with Kayiel before being interupted. As silence lapsed between them, Logan frowned and tried to stir up conversation by asking, "So does your family know you are here?" 3/28/2010 #30 |
