![]() I am currently writing a story that is based vaguely on Russian lore. Sadly there is very little that internet search engines will provide me with. I am attempting to explain the origin of legend through a modern day werewolf encounter in the most remote area left - the Russian tundra. And somehow turning it into a love story. Too cliche? Im sure it would be far too much if I made the main character fall in love with the werewolf. But I want to make it a romance that is maybe not so conventional as a lovers type of thing. Im stuck though. I am trying so hard to stay away from cliche ideas. Because everyone knows them anyways no matter what pretty new words I use to describe them. There is no hunter to the werewolf. Pretty much just the victims and the main character's obsession with the legend that forces her to lose a lot of morals for the sake of curiousity. So my choices for romance possibilities are very few. 12/11/2010 #1 |
![]() look for the book Werewolves by Dr. Bon Curran or you could also try Monsters by John Michael Greer either book may come in handy 12/12/2010 #2 |
![]() Personally I haven't heard any Russian werewolf legends. Try broadening your search to eastern european werewolf myths. 1/01/2011 #3 |
