![]() I don't think we should use the poll one, only we understand how awful it is... lol. No one else would get it I don't think. -Having to write "I will fulfill the review requirements" 10,000 times. 1/10/2009 #2,971 |
![]() So we have: - Writing "I will fulfill the review requirements" 10,000 times. - Fulfilling said review requirements 10,000 times - Having to think up polls for OT (maybe) - Driving on a straight, empty street for a longer period of time while also sleep deprived. - Backreading previous OT discussion you missed out on....20 pages back - Being forced to listen to a middle-aged professor discuss the concepts involved in calculus in a monotone soothing voice. - Reading crappy FP-fics all day 1/10/2009 . ![]() -Having to write "I will fulfill the review requirements" 10,000 times. - Fulfilling said review requirements 10,000 times XD 1/10/2009 #2,973 |
![]() I never read Dickison, sorry dude. I know of boring SWEDISH classics thought but I doubt that helps you guys any XD 1/10/2009 #2,974 |
![]() Lol.. that was just the one I hated most. What would make a fp story really boring? We can use that. I'll add your one about fulfilling the requirements and then I think we have enough, no? 1/10/2009 #2,975 |
![]() boring...hmm... I think FP stories are really boring if the sentences are all the same; He walked to Meg slowly. She looked at him deliberately. They stared at each other with longing. blabla but I cant put it into words :( 1/10/2009 #2,976 |
![]() just make it simple: - Reading crappy FP-fics all day 1/10/2009 #2,977 |
![]() Sounds good. So I'm gonna make it, but without your one about the polls, if that's ok.... 1/10/2009 #2,978 |
![]() They can only pick one choice correct? 1/10/2009 #2,979 |
![]() Sounds good. So I'm gonna make it, but without your one about the polls, if that's ok.... totally ok only mods know the true sacrifice T__T 1/10/2009 #2,980 |
![]() They can only pick one choice correct? That's a personal choice you get to make haha XD 1/10/2009 #2,981 |
![]() I think it has to be one since it what would do it FASTEST only one can be FASTEST. 1/10/2009 #2,982 |
![]() @ Depth: ah. yeah i guess that it is unfair of me complain without providing proper alternatives and suggestions. Sorry bout that :) As for the rule change that's up for consideration now, I really don't see a way to imporve it. Any way you slice it still gives the reviewer a very rigid template and makes examinating very difficult. Maybe changing "two sentences per section" to "two sentences of concrit per section"? that way the mods can have room to determine that if its just summary or a general comment it wont count? That's the best i can come up with. I guess I just wasted 4+ posts just to bring us back to where we started huh? Sorry! 1/10/2009 #2,983 |
![]() @Depth Maybe changing "two sentences per section" to "two sentences of concrit per section"? I can swing with that. :) Need I say more? Bubbles said it all! 1/10/2009 #2,984 |
![]() It's a good idea... only I'm a bit uncertain what counts as concrit... Especially since to me that implies there has to be some criticism, not just good things (though maybe Im just not getting your definition). I'm worried the term "concrit" is very subjective... 1/10/2009 #2,985 |
![]() Concrit = Constructive Criticism = ??? ??? = (in Frac vocab) Articulating your thoughts and justifying your thoughts = Would demand a "why" in that case How does everyone elses definiton of Concrit look like? 1/11/2009 #2,986 |
![]() @OT Name for number 27 Any ideas? :D 1/11/2009 #2,987 |
![]() @ Concrit Ok.. that definition of concrit makes sense, but are we going to make sure they have a why then? Because now it's just two sentences. They can say "They way you portrayed Jesse was great. Lola was also a really interesting character and I loved how the two of them interacted." That would qualify as two sentences, but it has no why... 1/11/2009 #2,988 |
![]() @Concrit yeah, which is why my definition of concrit wont work. Why is in EF, not Depth. 1/11/2009 #2,989 |
![]() @ OT Name OT- 3 Cubed (just sounds kinda fun... lol) OT- Cobalt Blue (its atomic number is 27) OT- Supercharged (Cobalt is in batteries) OT- Reggy: The New Testament (27 books in the new testament) 1/11/2009 #2,990 |
![]() @ Concrit And that's why I don't think we can throw that phrase in there. People define the term differently... 1/11/2009 #2,991 |
![]() @Concrit To me, constructive criticism is when the reviewer tells the author honestly what they thought their piece was like and why. Also, possibly what they could do to improve. @Name for OT-27 how about OT-Uranus (The planet Uranus has 27 moons) hahaha 1/11/2009 #2,992 |
![]() @Name for OT-27 how about OT-Uranus (The planet Uranus has 27 moons) OT- Mooning Uranus! Sorry, I just had to! 1/11/2009 #2,993 |
![]() I vote for Dolly's!!! 1/11/2009 #2,994 |
![]() I vote OT-Mooning Uranus 1/11/2009 #2,995 |

![]() I vote for it too. 1/11/2009 #2,998 |
