Now, Kino, RG Multi is no charity. Read the rules or you won't benefit. You want a review, you give a review. You want three, you give three. Easy as that. I even link to the rules in the first post. This negligence is just shameful since it was so easy to not get into this situation. If anything, you've only attracted negative attention onto yourself and your story. :/

I reviewed four of Orange, 'cause I didn't know if I should do that or three. Recommendation for people; Orange is a twisted story about twisted individuals in a twisted world. Read it if you enjoyed Pulp Fiction, the work of Harris in the Hannibal Lecter series of books, or the gonzo style of literature and journalism. Dark and somewhat filthy, but definitely worth a read - if only to remind people of the lightness of the rest of the world.

Can someone review chapters of MechKnight, please? I have four chapters up, but three of them are over 4000 words. Does than mean I get 4 chapters or three? I dunno.

Nope.

First things first: you need at least 4 chapters of your multi-chap before participating, Rule 16 (and also blatantly stated in the first post of this topic). Your story only has three chapters. Only reason you could play with such a number would be if the moderators gave you permission (but then you'd have to ask BEFORE playing). Since I am a mod, and I have given you no such permission (and the other mod would surely tell me if she gave you) you have fault on this ground.

Further, this is DEPTH. Depth review requirements, and they are blatantly stated in the first post of this topic. Your reviews did not meet them by far!, FOUR areas in total are needed per review. And 2 sentences per area in the least.

Because you seem new to this, I grant you permission to play again and give Narc true depth reviews, but only for this one time. Otherwise, normal RG may be good.

Forgive me. I read the rules a week ago and forgot a lot of the finer details.

I was planning on posting another chapter later today. (Actually, I just did.) I didn't think it would be fitting to join the "story" game if I wasn't writing a short story and another chapter was due soon.

I also have some issue with the "four areas" critique. Many of those areas, such as 'characters' are areas that I would not feel comfortable critiquing unless I read at least ten chapters, not only three or four. In addition, the strict format of the expected critiques reminds me of a classroom assignment. I comment when I see a problem or have something to say. Anything else would be filler.

In addition, the author seemed to have a good grasp on the craft, so there was very little I could say without simply imparting an invasive bias. It's his story, his characters, and his style, not mine--I would only feel comfortable telling him what to do with them to a certain degree.

I will continue to play the game (according to your rules), but I will wait until a different story comes up that actually REQUIRES a heavy critique, so that I will not have to BS in order to follow the rules.
