Only the moderators (Fractured Illusion, simpleplan13 and Imalefty) are allowed to post here in order to bring in updates. No spamming is allowed. If you want something to be featured on the news, take it to the Suggestion topic. It's good and well if all categories of users here on RG read the news, so you don't miss anything that may concern you. It is your fault if you miss something. | Fractured Illusion NEWS! --- » Suggestion for a new rule + discussion around severity of punishment regarding that rule Concerning: Fight For the Freebie Link: Here Proper topic to discuss: Suggestions topic Subject: This consists of two parts. The first part of the suggest is to make a new rule which gives the Freebie-giver a time-limit (1 week) to review the winner(s) of their freebie contest. When you go to Suggestion topic, say if you are Pro or Against, please. The second part of the suggestion is for those that are pro. It is to discuss the punishment of not obeying by the one week rule. Current suggestions are: don't allow them to post anywhere on RG until they do or don't allow them to start new freebies or play in the freebie topic until they do. Please discuss this part of the suggestion as there are disagreements. --- » Suggestion for a new list: Nicknames Concerning: A list of nicknames of the people "hanging" at the Review Game Forum. It is meant as a fun thing (which makes some people pro) but if someone is left out, feelings will get hurt (which makes some people against). Beyond this other view-points are also made. Please come discuss this so we can put an end to the discussion. The link that takes you to the debate is only the recent development. If you look at the page before which it will take you, there is a whole debate going on for about that page, too. We have added a link of the Read This First! topic in all first posts of the Review Games. We have added a new section in the Read This First! topic called Trivia. It is meant that it will be a fun and light reading in comparison to all the rules habiting that post. In the Trivia section currently lies a link that shows all the genres that have been recently active in all Story Review Games. We have also added a list of those have been banned in the Punishment section of that thread. Currently another list is to be launched soon: How Many Reviews The Review Game Forum Has Brought In. So to speak. Rather, RG has only acted as a vessel, but saying that as well would make it an even longer title. | Fractured Illusion NEWS! --- » Freebie: New Rules! Concerning: Fight for the Freebie Link: Here Subject: The freebie has new rules. Max time for freebie is now 3 instead of 5 (Rule 7). Hints/updates are needed to be given at least once a day (Rule 8). After the freebie is closed, the freebie giver has one week to make the review(s). If they don't do it within this time they aren't allowed to participate in the freebie at all. --- » Plagiarism: New Punishment! Concerning: The Review Game Forum as a whole, Read This First! Link: Here Subject: After much heated discussion it was decided that the Review Game Forum will not support it when others steal the idea and distinct features of this forum and use it without permission. This will lead to banning, unless the person responsible for this deletes the forum when asked to. But if the person then re-makes the forum, again without permission, it will lead to permanent banning and a report to the FictionPress Administrators. Temporary ban is when the user at first does not respond to the request and then later deleted the forum and gives an apology to the RG Forum. --- » Updates Nickname list has now been established! Majority decides. Each of you only get one vote. And for those uncertain of what the Review Marathon is, it's pretty much to spread the review love and make many authors on this site happy (and make their day). Thus we have this suggestion: make it mandatory that RM participants need to update their point count after every X amount of reviews. Vote for the number you feel is the best. Link for suggestion: Here Link for prototype rule: Here Subject: Plagiarism is an incorrect term of what we wish to punish. It is only plagiarism if they do not credit us as the source. What the RG Forum means, however, is that you will still be punished unless you ask for permission. Thus it should be called Copyright Infringement, since RG Forum needs to give permission first. The additions are Pace, Relationships, Techniques, Opening/Ending, and also we now have Grammar alongside with Spelling. Other than that, it is decided that Descriptions is not a category of its own. It belongs with Writing. Summary and Title are not categories, and shouldn't count as such. Even though we have more categories, you still only need to do four. However, should he not get a reply from the desired beta within 10-15 minutes, then the author must close the request and PM the beta about his choice.
