Yes, yours was very creepy. Perhaps because of the vagueness of the characters' identities, and the detached tone also helped a lot.

General note: There were a lot of edited posts that said they wouldn't/hadn't made it in time but still promised to review the winner. I am unsure if I am to view this as a withdraw or not, and as the promise-to-review-the-winner-anyway part is there, in the cases that have not actually said that they withdraw, I still counted them as a registered participant.
