Excellent Sophie, congratulations, I loved your piece!

I was curious, so I did a bit of data collecting, and thought I'd share my findings with those interested.

WCC History Stats

Record high for number of active participants: 24, in January 2009, the first WCC.

--Second highest number of active participants: 21, in February 2011, this month! O:

Record low for number of active participants: 10, in July 2010.

Record high for number of voters: 40, in April 2009.

--With 34 voters, this month, January 2009, and December 2009, come in fourth for the highest number of voters.

Record low for number of voters: 17, in December 2010.

How about them ties? Well, in the history of WCC, we've only had three, two of which have taken place in 2010. And the first ever three-way tie went down just last month. So lemme break it down for you:

First tie: January 2010, between Faithless Juliet and Sakiru Yume.

Second tie: September 2010, between author-A. and DeeFective.

Third tie: January 2010, between Lyla Glee, gigglebug, and Nesasio.

Congrats to this month's winner!
