((At the foundations of Zynarck)) "Here is suitable flatlands, sir." One of the elves stated to Captain Bonnel. "Yes, quite so. Anchor here and disembark!" The captain ordered to his crew, who began to fill rafts and landing craft. A total of 300 Zerbian elves disembarked, including the captain and the mercenaries, while 20 stayed aboard the ship. 50 of them continued going back and forth with the small boats, bringing supplies. 100 elves went off to the trees and began harvesting lumber for a palisade. A squad of 10 went to the river east with a raft, to make contact with Sevia of their landing. The rest helped with managing the supplies, organizing, setting up the palisade, and posted sentries. The squad of 10 crossed the river and went to Vekor with news of their landing.
The palisade was up with wooden logs and mounds of earth, and wooden sentry posts every 20 meters, equipped with 3 small mounted cannons. Among the open field there were several buildings, two large ones with one reserved as the beginnings of a factory, and the other as the headquarters of the settlement. Another one was set up hugging the newly built docks, and several medium-sized warehouses off to the side. The rest were random barracks and small homes scattered amongst the fort. "Send the Medallion back with word!" Captain Bonnel ordered to his crew, and twenty sailors boarded the ship with the mercenaries, heading off for Herck.
The crew built themselves a campsite around their side of the bank and sent ten soldiers and fifteen laborers on the opposite bank, with rope which they pinned on the opposite bank. They pinned four parallel ropes across the river on each side, with ten feet between each rope, with a total width of forty feet. Once that was done, each side began forming lumber bases and another group of ten soldiers and thirty laborers came, and the ten soldiers moved on with forty laborers to the mountain north of them to set up a mine for ore.
They also set up a stairwell of sorts of logs onto each side, but was only a base for the metal to come and turn into ramps.
"Do you have any magic to draw out more ore at a much faster rate?" Behind him a newly set up furnace began to flare as the ore was smelted and shifted to add onto the sides of the supports, as well as increase the strength in their joints.
The other workers continued smelting and setting the current ore of iron to the wooden logs. Every five feet across the river they placed a much larger support and stronger beams to reinforce it across the river. A few elves went into their supplies from the wagons and brought out large suits with pipes attached, made for shallow water diving. They climbed in and were sealed by their comrades before walking into the river and began guiding simple and small engine-powered cranes, lifting earth over the stone bases and halfway up the wooden logs, adding more support from the river current and floating silt and debris. "I predict it will be functioning for the basics in under a week, and fully not much longer." The lieutenant commented to himself as he watched the progress. ((I guess we can say a couple days has already past.))
"Of course, we can help with that." The man said, before taking off his hat and revealing that he is actually an elf. "The names Everson." Then shook Bryall's outstretched hand.
((That mean he grinned a lot, but hid how wide it was.))
((NOW i have to get off... damnit me no wanna....later))
((I'll send them to the southern area.))
"We are moving at a very good pace. We may possibly be done faster than I predicted originally."
((No the mages))
"Agreed." The lietuenant stated as he gave a few tips to the elves working the earth cranes.
A small sevian vessel sliced through the water towards the docks, carrying aboard it the group of mages that would teach sevia's new ally in the ways of magic.

The ship slid up next to the open dock and let down a gangplank, which five men walked down onto the dock. Then the ship pulled away, "That's all we came here for, now we need to get back to patrolling the coast." The captain of the ship yelled out.
"Good luck, Captain!" The elf captain called to the ship as it left, then looked to the five men. "So, you are the mages that have come to teach us some magic?"
"Yes, we are here to teach you Sevian magic, specifically battle magic." One of them said, a woman by the voice. As one they pulled off their cloaks, revealing gleaming plate mail and wicked looking scimitars hanging at their sides. "Now, show us to our quarters." ((desription of speaker, A middle aged woman with shoulder length black hair tied back in a pony tail and dark green eyes.))
They quickly fell into step behind the captain, while they carefully watched the guards.
"I apologize for our lacking of hospitality, but just let me know anything else you might want, and I'll do my best for it." The captain stated as he held it open for the mages.
"It is fine." The woman replied then she nodded to the other four and they went into the barracks and dropped some things off, like their cloaks. "Now, who is it you would like us to train in magic?"
((At the bridge construction.)) "Lieutenant Bryall, Captain Bonnel wishes to see you hat Zynarck HQ!" A messenger called out to the elf. "Well then, if you will excuse me Everson, I must be off and away. I will be back soon, I believe." The lieutenant said to the Sevian elf before heading off with the messenger back to Zynarck. ((Zynarck)) Lieutenants Bryall, Quell, and Gorlyn arrived behind their captain, at ease. "Ahh, here they are." Captain Bonnel stated to the mages as his lieutenants approached.
[Zynarck] "We should first start with basics... fire magic." The woman stated as the four others paired off with the four that were to be trained, "Incantation form, of course. Ignatus." Flames flared up out of nowhere, floating in the air in front of her. Then each of her four men would show the elves how to direct and change the fire using various gestures and words.
"Do we repeat the words and such?" The captain asked, watching.
The mage that had been paired off with him replied, "Once you say the word it is only a matter of controlling the fire with your mind, it will do what you want it to do."
Nodding to himself, Captain Bonnel spoke 'Ignatus' and held out his hand, his hand aflame now. He then focused in his mind to raise it in a ball, but as he did so it collapsed around him. "Oops." He stated.
"Unless your going to use your fists, try not to light your hands on fire." The mage advised.
"It would be best to practice this simple magic until you get the hang of it."
"If you wish it to be so, then so shall it be. Practice when you have time until our next session." She ordered before heading back over to the barracks they had been assigned, closely followed by the other four.
((Bridge.)) "Slow down the mining crew, bring some of the workforce over here on construction!" The oldest corporal called out to the crew. He was replacing Bryall at command of the Zerbians while the lieutenant was away. The bridge had about 3/4ths done, and the last 1/4th between the two sides was connected by basic logs while the crews began supporting from the ends with metal joints and the likes.
The group of five situated themselves in the barracks before going back out to spar.
The bridge construction was going smoothly, and most of the frame was already built and secured. However, the elves were increasing the stability of the bridge by adding diagonal supports on each side, more on the downstream side to support it from the current. Each support was being secured by thick earthen mounds and metal joints at the beams. The construction of small gate houses/towers also began at the Zerbian end of the bridge. "Would you wish for a gate house or tower built on your side as well?" The major asked to the Sevian in charge as he continued overlooking the progress. [Zynarck] Captain Bonnel and his lieutenants returned to the mages' barracks with a knock on the door, ready for more training.
Everson nodded in return, "Yes, we would." [Zynarck] The door opened, revealing all five of the inhabitants quickly putting on their plate mail. "Are you ready for more training?" The Senior officer asked.
The elf major nodded and ordered his small company on the eastern bank to start the foundations of a Sevian gatehouse. [Zynarck] "Aye." Captain Bonnel replied, stretching his neck.
The five finished up putting their armor on and walked out. "Let's see if you've improved any." The woman said as the others paired off agian.
