This post is to keep track of two things. First, the events that have already happened on the forum. Second, the events that "pre-date" the forum. I'll try to keep this updated as best I can. If you want an entry added please post it in this thread and I'll cut-and-paste it to the first post so we have a time line.

-1000: Goblins wander into the area now known as Gob' Tel' Mae, then known as Zaegskull, home of the Orcs. The Orcs enslave the goblins.

-800: Diem was driven back to her island borders, abandoning the outside world as a disease raged across the land, decimating whole nations. In the centuries after their self-imposed isolation, the Empire was wracked with civil war between the eighteen provinces' great families.

-750: The goblins rise up against the Orcs, driving them out and/or eliminatig them. They rename the nation Gob' Tel' Mae and the Goblin Empire is established.

-400: Nuudlians from some unknown country arrive in Gob' Tel' Mae. The goblins are wary at first, but eventually accept them and let them live with them.

-300:

Raethon suffered a great famine; hunting and small-scale farming was not enough anymore for a growing population. In their desperation, it was decided that the Nyvean's to the Southwest had held the rich and fertile lands for too long. Raids had been common on Nyvea, but no a great army was ammassed and a full-assault was made. But, the Nyveans were not ready to give up their nation; farmers became soldiers, and a great war began.

The current Imperial Dynasty rose to prominence and has since ushered in a period of internal peace and prosperity focused on removing the ravages of war and allowing science, the arts, and peaceful applications of sorcery to flourish once again.

-200: Nuddlians and goblins, working together, advance in technologies and culture.

-49: Rakarskia was a backward monarchy, that had just been through a long and bitter war with the Barbarian Confederacy. Then the Revolution came. Two years later, in A.R 1, the revolution succeeded, and the long process of modernisation began.

-32: Eventually, as the Nyveans grew hungry and cried for their farmers to return, and as the greater Raethonte force broke through, the war turned in favor of the Raethonte, and just thirty-two years ago, they finally conquered all of the former Nyvea. Now food is plentiful enough to feed all the nation, and the Nyveans have submitted to Raethonte control, never to fight such a war ever again.

-20: the provinces of Kaleo were united under one kingdom.

-10: the Archipelago was united under the King of the Isles. The victory was made possible by rigorous military discipline in the navy and cunning dealing with the merchant companies from the various islands. The King established a strong, centralized government held together by a strong and well-funded navy.

-5: Goblins and nuudlians discover the other nations, and begin diplomacy.

The previous emperor of Survaek died and was replaced by his son the 19 year-old Yvor, his only child.

-4.5: Emperor Yvor conquers the last of the islands around Byrnian and Survaek and enslaves their people for their insolence.

-4: Yvor put a vast amount of resources into technological research projects, particularly for the military; these were the first official research projects in Survaek. Yvor also started the project of supplying the best technology already available to the military, industry, and agriculture of the nation.

-3: Yvor successfully emplaced an economic system where all non-slave laborers work for the government for little money but are given free shelter and food, to the great benefit of his treasury.

-2: Rakarskian Colonial Company representatives first landed in the city which would become known as Vladmirsgrad.

Yvor is accurately titled "Emperor Yvor the Reformer."

Near-past:

After a diplomatic Confrontation at Vladmirsgrad, the Rakarskian colonial company and their allies in Kaleo declared war against the Zeb'ron elves, who enlisted the aid of the Sevians. The Rakarskian/Kaleon army marched against Herck. The battle was a Pyrrhic victory for the Zeb'ron, with the Rakarskians forced to withdraw but the Zeb'ron forces devastated. The Kaleon forces then incited the natives against the Zeb'ron, allowing the allied forces to wipe out the remaining elves and capture Herck.

The Empire purchased a large amount of land from the Kaleon forces who had laid claim to the Sarbryn Peninsula (basically the bit between Yiona, DirAwath and the Vinghis desert) and have begun establishing a new province, tentatively titled the Luminary Protectorate, with a settlement being constructed in sector D-14, called Luminary, and a large star fortress at the Yiona Pass through the DirAwath mountains, Angelwatch Fortress. Further settlements are planned.
