Quill of CopperTopic: Silva'ar Tiem Seeing as this is just a city.. not a very big empire indeed, I decided to just make a post for the city. You can treat this like any other nation thread, and visit the small villages, do whatever, etc... but it's more for the city. Locations include: Brimstone Blacksmith, Alchemic Desires, Pyrotechnic Creations, (Anything to do with fire - they can do it.) Herbs n' Flowers, (Herbalist store) Capitol Magistry, (The head honcho building, the big cheese, whatever.) Quills n' Scribes, (Post office / buy anything to do with writing) MoonFire INN, (Self explanatory) Dodo SteamPilotry - Aircraft store / repair shop. Major People are: Ranzent Doornq - Newly made king due to his fathers death to age. Johnny legs - the scribe. Ronald Thompson - The "Financial Advisor" Kossno litvisc - The "Military Advisor" Dodontro Levirye - The "Aircraft Machinist" and "Designer" (When Ranz doesn't specify a custom plane.) All the buildings are made wth Rust-coloured clay, and are magically held together to support multiple floors. There is a shield that domes over the city, that looks sorta like a soap-bubble. colorful swirling designs flow through it. Everyone in this town is generally happy, except when the few robbers that reside here strike. | #1 Mar 22nd, 7:26am . Edited Mar 22nd, 8:22am

LavieA sevian scouting party slowly made it's way down the banks of the river. It had been nearly a month since they set out and now in the distance they could see some sort of city. Already two of the group were sent back to relay the findings to command while the rest were determined to get more information on this unknown city. |
Quill of CopperRanz sent a high ranking pilot on a small bi-plane, and it took off with a loud sputtering and clunking noise. It flew over the countryside, sputtering and rattling it's way northish. "Yessir I'll get there, don't you worry a bit sir." Said the pilot, He looked at his compass, only to notice a small group of people landside. "I have a small group nearing the city, I suggest you get them checked out sir.." "Affirmative Pilot, continue with mission" replied ground control. ((Magical communications are always a must-have lol )) They headed towards Sevia with a vengeance. he sparked his gun and prepared it to fire on command.. "You sure this little plane has enough coal to get that far sir? it's a good 2.5 sectors away.." Ground control sputtered through "Trust your equipment and it shall never fail pilot, remember that." "Yesssir" he continued at a fast pace, making sure to keep the fuselage steam-casket fired up at top pressure. The engine suddenly started to sputter fiercely and he began to lose altitude.. "Sir, the p-plane is goin' down.. I am losing altitude fast... the plane's front end began to sink... he fought to keep the plane going down at a relatively safe speed, but couldn't keep it up. "Sir, I am going to seek the group's assistance.." The plane began leaking on the left side of the fuselage.. "Fuel leak, steam-pressure going down" He managed, after quite a bit of fighting, aim the nose of the plane for the small group of Sevians... He amplified his voice with magic and yelled, "I mean you no harm!" as the plane flew towards them in a large cloud of smoke.... |
Lavie(( "I MEAN YOU NO HARM!" as a flaming biplane is hurtling towards them... ))The group certainly couldn't stop the aircraft, so the group, or should i say platoon, moved quickly out of the way of the falling thing and together built a ramp of ice for it land on and hopefully prevent a huge crash. ((ugh, that wasn't my best writing ever, thats for sure.)) |
Quill of CopperThe pilot attempted to aim for the strange ramp... he ripped off his landing gear with a slight miss, and slid onto the ground relatively safely.. "Thank you for your assistance.." he slammed his hand on his dashboard.. "Cheap peice of crap, these minimum wage crafters will be the death of me.."| #5 Mar 23rd, 10:25am . LavieThe platoon's lieutenant walked closer to the downed flying machine, "You are welcome, and I also understand that lack of quality does allow for a greater chance of failure." ((once agian, to hell with language barrier. ... and this lieutenant is rather... well spoken if i do say so myself.)) |
Quill of Copper((wtf is language barrier? is there some sort of rule saying cities can't speak the same language or something? ?? ))The pilot climbed out of the plane, with much effort. "Where you guys from... You don't look like Tiemians..." |
Lavie"We are from up river, So no we are not... Tiemians." He struggled a bit with that last word. "Here exploring the country side." |
Quill of Copper"Ahhh yes.. where are you from then? I was sent on a scouting mission myself, find any lands adjacent to our own... but alas, I have failed..Perhaps you can be of assistance?" the pilot held his funky hat at his breast, with a solemn expression on his face.. "I fear the king will chastise me good for this.." //// "We lost track of hi- What! how dare you! how dare he! He's defying orders!" the captian interrupted fiercely.. "Sorry cap'n ..." The captain glared at them, and stormed off to the docking area. Although he grumbled most of the way, he was secretly happy for having a valid reason to fly. As he took off, he made sure they're were no problems with the plane.. "Stupid lower-class ports.. What they need are some quality planes." //// The rickety plane held together, but seemed a little over-smoky as it flew over country side, looking for the pilot they lost.. | #9 Mar 25th, 5:05am . Lavie"As I said, we Are from up river, though we might be able to help with finding nearby lands, though we have more information of far away lands." The Platoon leader responded, "And why would your King chastise you for the poor quality of the equipment you were given?" |
Quill of Copper"Because... and I quote; A good pilot can use any peice of crap to his advantage, no matter what; he believes the pilot determines everything, I try to convince him it does have a bit to do with equipment.. but ohhhh no.. it's always the pilot's fault..." the pilot turned and examined his wreck... ohhh..... this is bad...I hope the delivery wasn't damaged...."I had a delivery.... If it's damaged cap'n will do alot more then chastise me... that delivery was of utmost importance.. I was supposed to deliver it to any large cities I found...." |
Lavie"I see, do you want help finding it among the wreckage?" The platoon leader asked, wondering what the object could be. |
Quill of Copper"I suppose..." the pilot tore loose some stray iron.. "ah there it is.. never-mind the help..." he reached in, cut his arm.. but pulled out a nicely folded, though slightly charred envelope with the royal insignia sealing it. "here you go, Give this to your superiors.." |
LavieHe nodded and handed it off to one of his runners, who promptly started heading back to Sevia. Next he held out his hand to the pilot, "My name is Lieutenant Vance." |
Quill of CopperThe pilot shook it "I'm Pilot Robert, you can just call me Rob.." |
LavieVance nodded in response and then asked, "Would you like an escort back to your city?" |
Quill of Copper"Well... if it's any faster then walking.. I should get back asap.." |
LavieVance created a section of ice on the ground that lead towards the city, "But of course." With that he was off, sliding along the ice with incredible grace, and was soon followed by his platoon.((SLIP AND SLIDE!!!)) |
Quill of CopperThe pilot was rather unsure... but tried it anyway... after falling a few times he finally got the hang of it, and slipped along, "Say.. this is MUCH faster then walking!" |
Lavie"Yes, and entertaining also." Vance responded, having looped back to stay next to the pilot. |
Quill of Copper"yeah.." The pilot neared the gates... "Oi... open up!" all he got was a grunt..."Who is present company?" (in other words, who are the ppl mr. pilot brought with him...) The pilot looked around... "Aye.. Pilot B25C456... and Company of Sevia.." he slid over to the head Vance.. with a slight out-of-the-corner-of-his-mouth comment - "Explain who you are and what your business is here..." |
Lavie"We are explorers from a land north of here, and are seeking to open diplomatic relations with your people. Also I am Lieutenant Vance." |
Quill of CopperAfter much bickering and a few minute's wait the guards finally opened the gates "Approved... head straight, and arrive at the Capitol Magistry" |
LavieVance nodded and walked though the gates with his men, from there they made there way down the street. |
Quill of CopperUpon arriving at the capitol, the commander long given up his search.. met the pilot with an extremely angry face.. "Where were you pilot!?" |
LavieThe men were somewhat amazed to the Capitol building, though most thought it paled in comparison to the King's Fortress. They approached the door and waited for someone to guide them to where they were to go. |
Quill of CopperThe captain's expressions changed when he finally realized their company.. "Erm.. right.. follow me to the Audience Room.." within minutes they were all waiting for the king... |
Lavie((whoops, didn't know if the pilot was following or not.))"So, your king, is he a benevolent ruler or something else?" Vance asked both the captain and the pilot. |
Quill of Copper((np, he is...until this post lol))The pilot turned and headed off down another corridor, anything to avoid the Captain.. The Captain looked at Vance rather offended.. "Our king rules finely, democratically." |
LavieCompletely ignoring the fact that he had offended the Captain, he asked, "A democractic king? So you are saying that the people elect the king or is it that he has the people vote upon his ordinences?" |
Quill of CopperHe lets the people vote upon which rules pass, which rules do not. The council comes up with new rules. The King is more of a military man.. hence he leads the military operations most.." The captain sighed.. remembering fond memories of when he and the king frolicked in their youth.. "he is a changed man.." |
Lavie"I understand," Vance replied then went on to talk of his own king, "Our king is much less demcratic than yours, since he has the right to create any law he chooses, but they are alike in the aspect that they are both military men." |
Quill of Copper"I think I understand as well.." the king approached his throne.. sat upon it.. and bellowed "Enter!!!" the captain looked at them.. pitied."very well chatting, nice chat with you, I really must go" he jogged off nervously.. |
LavieVance watched him leave, but only for a second, and soon he was approaching the throne. He stopped a distance away and bowed deeply, "Your grace, it is a pleasure to meet you, my name is Vance."| #34 Mar 28th, 9:22am . Edited Mar 28th, 9:22am

Quill of CopperThe king nodded... "Welcome to the throne room of Silva'ar Tiem what is your business here?" |
Lavie"The opening of relations between our two peoples, along with giving my men a rest from the marching." Vance replied in a respectful tone. |
Quill of Copper"Approved. You can stay in the guest's quarters, same to your troops." (They have a giant guest's room, with about 80 beds... hope it's nuff lol. ))The king tiredly got up from the throne.. and went to his duty - sleeping.. in the royal room. |
Lavie((slightly more than double what they needed so it good.))Vance bowed again, and backed away from the throne for few steps before turning around and leaving, and following a guide to the room. |
Quill of CopperThe pilot managed to load an LV1 aircraft, which would be mroe then enough to carry the troops there, he sent in an order to bring in a refueling craft too, to give them more fuel half-way there. The large aircraft was lined on the runway, ready to launch in the morning. Several small refueler craft, ready as well, to feed it they're load of fuel when ready. |
Quill of Copper--next morning--The craft was waiting for the passengers.. they sent a messenger to the guest room to warn them that they're ride was leaving in ten minutes, with or without them. A scout - John Rivitry was on board to speak with whatever governing force the Serbians used. |
Quill of CopperA small scout plane,(2s, 4 sectors if it doesn't want a return trip) to Serbia, boarded with one spy, and one Ambassador.. unknown that his companion was a hired gun.. they launched, and headed slightly NE to Serbia.. even as they're engine sputtered and spat. |
Quill of CopperRanz sighed as he got up, and headed to the door of the guest room.. "Oi! you better get movin' if you wanan ride home.." |
LavieVance and his men headed for the flying machine and boarded it, then waited for it to take off. |
Quill of Copper(( lol sorry to bug in so rudely.. ))The craft sputtered then died.. they put in another round and tried again.. a fresh round.. Again it sputtered and died. Finally the put a round fresh of the coolin' rack and it slowly sputtered.. a couple of small bang noise and the lull disappeared.. replaced with loud mechanical clanking, sputtering, smoking, engine noises.. "Pilot 244' 92 read for takeoff." The pilot said into the large mic. "Roger that pilot, set destination - sector I-10. Name: Sevia. Have a nice flight Pilot." The pilot nodded as he slowly eased the mammoth craft down the runway.. slowly gaining speed. After nearly leaving onto the dirt, the craft finally managed to support it's own in the air.. "Successful takeoff, heading for Sector I-10" said the pilot cheerfully. The crew was lead by a guide to their quarters, roughly 50 beds. not as big as the guest room, and rather not as neat. "Sorry.. this is the best our air-force has, the engineering and systems take up a huge portion of the plane, and the gasoline tanks tank up the entire lower half. they're only room for 50. You can sleep on some of the on-board planes if necessary." said the guide.. before tramping off. The craft rumbled and shook as it gained altitude.. the small board-crew making adjustments to the belts and chains holding the on-board planes.. on-board. "Successful. I-10 ETA 3 days." the pilot said business -like. and they were off. Another Ambassador was on board, should the guests need someone to talk to. He in-fact visited them rather quickly.. "I assume we have a way to contact your origin from the air?" he said.. emphasizing on Origin he didn't like commoner's names such as city, village, etc.. |
Lavie((I was just confused, thats why i did not post, your other posts clarified what was going on.))The soldiers exchanged glances with each other as the plane took off, but they said nothing When they were led to the beds they all took one and settled in for a long flight, though several got very sick from the flight. When the ambassador walked into the quarters the majority of the troops were resting, but Vance was wide awake and a little green. "Um, yeah, we can contact them, though it won't be as... easy as your talk boxes are." |
Quill of CopperThe ambassador chuckled lightly "Shall we bring you to the medical wing.. it's a little larger.. 60 beds. However it's a bit cramped with all the medical equipment it is gyro-enabled. It's a room inside of a room. The is a large room with gigantic springs, and then the medic room is a smaller room with all the functional things. The springs absorb sudden movement, making the ride much smoother. the walls are padded, lessening the sound a bit too.." The ambassador almost felt sorry for them.. The rattling, shaky, ready to fall apart mechanics of this behemoth must not seem very assuring to them.. |
Lavie"I will be fine, show an example to my men." He replied just before the plane rocked slightly more than it already was, and his face turned deeper shade of green. He quickly turned away from the ambassador, "Urk..." then a spray of regurgitated food sprayed out onto the floor.| #47 Apr 02nd, 12:50pm . Edited Apr 02nd, 12:51pm

Quill of Copper"erm yes... I will have your crew moved to the medic wing.. while I find someone to clean that up.. we are military men yes? we didn't exactly bring a cleaning staff aboard.. as it is were kinda full.." the ambassador said.. with a grim expression at the now smelly food on the floor.. |
LavieOne of the nearby soldiers opened an empty water pouch and created some water which he used to get the mess off the floor. As soon as he was finished he closed the cap and handed it to Vance, "Here's your lunch, sir." Vance smiled a little, his face not so green as he gathered those men that were affected by the motion of the flying machine and took them to the med bay. |
Quill of CopperThe ambassador was slightly sickened himself when the soldier simply scooped up his food... and handed it to him to eat... Ew! such indignity! the ambassador tried to be polite, but even his master desguisable face.. couldn't hide his utter disgust completely.. |
