ThreeBlackRosesTopic: Plot Twist help...please In a story of mine, I am considering killing off a fairly mian character. He has played father to four of the younger characters, and they would be devestated if he died. But, part of me desperately wants to see him settle down with his neigbor once this whole farce blows over and open the land's first school of magic. Thoughts? |

Silent Oblivion SongHmm..... You should kill him then by some magical twist of fate bring him back. You're a smart girl, you figure it out! No, I'm jokin. But seriously, you should have this whole big deal over him dying then bring him back later so he can kick butt, take names, then settle down and life off apple crisp and warm milk while Josai's off struggling to rule the kingdom. Lol, the lovely mental picture. XD Peace, SOS | #2 Feb 04th, 3:22pm . Edited Feb 05th, 5:03pm | |

concerto49If you decide to kill him, don't bring him back. It'll ruin it. Dying and coming back - don't kill in the first place. |

Silent Oblivion SongYou have a very good point. I think this character though {sorry, I know 3Roses personally and we share ideas all the time} would fit either way. But I think you are right about possibly ruining the mood. However, it does depend on 3Roses skill as a writer. Of which there is no doubt in my mind that she could make it work either way. ThreeBlackRosesYour both right. Killing him would butcher some plot points if badly done, although I think the character could pull it off. Perhaps I'll have him mistaken for dead, and free him later. He only needs to incapacitated for the climax, after all. Thank you both for your fantastic ideas!ThreeBlackRoses |
