JeninaVery much possible! Here are two ways you can do this. The first few steps are the same.1. Go to your author panel, click on "Stories". 2. Your stories should be listed. Next to the story that you wish to edit, there should be two links called "edit" and "preview". Click "edit". 3. Then, click "Content/Chapters". From here, it branches off, depending on how you want to edit your story. Here's the first way: 4. Find the chapter that you wish to edit. Next to it, there should be four links: "edit", "del", "exp", and "dl". You'll want to click "exp", which stands for "export". Immediately, a message should appear which says something along the lines of: "Chapter exported to Document Manager as Export: CHAPTER NAME Ch: #". 5. Go to the link "Documents" on your left hand navigation. You'll see that your file is there. Click "Edit/Preview" to edit the file. Edit to your fancy. (: 6. After you're finished putting in all your revisions, save it. Then, repeat steps #1-3. 7. At the bottom of the page, there should be a "Replace Chapter" box. Select the chapter you wish to replace and the document from your document manager you wish to replace the chapter with. Finally, click the button "Replace". Here's the second way: 4. This is mostly the same as the previous way, except this is if you edited the story outside of FictionPress, on Word, or something of the sort. Upload the edited file onto the document manager under "Documents". Then, repeat steps #1-3. 5. Refer to step #7 above for the final step. It's perfectly allowed, don't worry. It's why FictionPress allowed the "Replace" feature in the first place (we are fickled-minded writers, we can't help it). |
