Danielle ThamasaTopic: Bounty ((Okay...let's go)) |
Danielle ThamasaNatalie walked out of the dorm carrying her bag. For the first minute or so she was able to keep a slow normal pace but then it became too much for her. Knowing she wouldn't leave unless she did it now, she began to run. Unfortunately, she ran right into Jo."Nat, what are you doing?" Jo asked her. Then she noticed her bag. "Where are you going?" "I'm leaving. Things have become far too complicated." Jo looked into Natalie's eyes and saw the truth there. She sighed and said nothing for a moment. "What can I do to help?" "I...I don't think there's anything you can do," Natalie answered impatiently. "Look, I really have to go. I can't waste any more time." She stepped around Jo and was about to run off again when she thought of something. She turned and looked at Jo. "If Gregg Whaley shows up, find some way to distract him. Do whatever you have to." Jo nodded and Natalie took off once more. |

Danielle ThamasaLex walked off campus slowly, heading towards the park. Somehow he knew that Natalie would be heading there as well. Every few moments he would turn and look back at the campus. He hoped Asha would understand what he was doing and why. He hoped he would stay at campus, where she would be safe. |

echonymphTyler waited over an hour for Nat, getting more and more worried. Finally, he went to her dorm and knocked. Nothing. Turning the knob, he found it unlocked. He looked around in disbelief; the room was empty. Were it not for their mingled sents lingering around the room, nothing showed that she had ever been there. Walking around, he saw a paper laying on the bed. Sitting, Tyler unfolded it to see Natalie's neat handwriting, his eyes quickly scanning the contents of the letter. He growled, hands clenching into fists. Turning, he followed her scent for as long as he could, but it mixed with that of the many people, and despite her unique nature he was unable to relocate it. Fustrated, he ducked into an alley and punched the wall, sending cracks up its brick face. "Dammit!" | #4 Jan 21st, 4:54pm . Edited Jan 21st, 5:04pm | |

Danielle ThamasaNatalie ran into the wooded area of the park, barely holding it all in. She just wanted to collapse and let it all out but she knew that the emotions would be put to better use later, when she needed to focus and take down the Academy. She slowed down as she reached a small shack deep in the woods. She looked around and then went into it, finding Lex already there. He stood up when she walked in. "Are you ready to do this?" She closed her eyes and nodded slowly. "I need to go home first. There's something I need to say to my mother." |
echonymphAsha woak feeling that there was something missing. Slowly sitting up and looking around, she identified the aura of everthing around her that had one, up to the wiring in the walls. Beyond them, she could see the outlined figures of her dormmates. Except for one. Frowning, she slid off the bed and headed to Lex's room, looking around and not finding his aura. -He's not here,- Chandra said, looking up at her from the floor. "What?" Asha asked, staring disbelieving down at the cat. -He left. He's gone.- |
Danielle ThamasaLex nodded. "Very well. We should go." He started to leave the shack but hesitated and turned to look at her. "Are we doing the right thing? You know, by leaving them behind?""It had to be done Lex. It's for their own safety." She hoisted her bag up and headed outside. "We'll walk up to the town a few miles north of here and get a taxi from there. I don't want to risk using your car." Lex nodded. "Then we should go." |
echonymph"Lex," Asha said, appearing behind him, tears streaming down her cheeks. |
Danielle ThamasaLex whipped around and saw Asha behind him. Seeing her crying sent an aching feeling through his chest. He looked at Natalie and she held out her hand to take his bag, sending him a message with her eyes. Lex nodded slowly and handed his bag over. Moments later he had shifted to wolf and took off through the forest.Natalie watched for a moment then turned and started to walk away. |
echonymph"Lex!" Asha cried, seeing his aura diminish in the distance. Turning, she yelled, "Natalie! Wait! What is going on?" |
Danielle Thamasa"Asha, just go back to the dorm. Lex and I have something we need to do and...he doesn't want you getting hurt," Natalie said, barely slowing her pace. |
echonymph"I know; Chandra told me. I just....I wanted to say goodby," she said, keeping up as best she could, but well, she WAS blind, and Nat was walking really fast. |
Danielle ThamasaNatalie stopped and whipped around to face Asha. "Look, I understand your need to say goodbye but you need to understand how hard it was for him to leave." She sighed. "I'll keep an eye on him, all right?" |
echonymphAsha looked down, composing herself. "Could you...could you give him this?" she asked, holding out a tiny crystal pendant, perfectly clear and perfectly spherical within it's tiny silk sack. Attached to the sack was a cord to tie it around his neck. "It's exactly like the one in my room. To activate it, all he has to do is visuallize it glowing in his mind." |
Danielle ThamasaNatalie took it from her. "I'll give it to him."She hesitated for a second then reached up and unclasped the necklace she was wearing. Sighing slightly, she pressed it into the girl's hand. "You should have this." |
echonymph"Wh-what is it?" she asked, examing the object with her fingertips. |
Danielle Thamasa"It is a family pendant. Lex gave it to me a couple years ago. The one wearing it is protected from all of those in Lex's pack. You should have it now." For a moment she hesitated. "This will give him just one more reason to come back to you." |
echonymphUnexpectedly, Asha threw her arms around Natalie, giving her a tight hug. "Thank you." |
Danielle Thamasa"It belongs to whoever own's Lex's heart...and that's you," Natalie said, slightly returning the hug. "I...I should go now." |
echonymphAsha released her. "Tell him that I love him, will you? And that I'll be waiting?" |
Danielle Thamasa"Okay, I will." She turned and started to walk away. Then she stopped. "Please don't try to follow us. It's safer this way." |
echonymphAsha didn't reply, just sniffed and clutched the pendant to her chest. "Be careful." |
Danielle Thamasa"You're the one that needs to be careful. There may be Bounty Hunters around looking for Lex and myself. You can't let them know anything. You must act like an average human young woman." |
echonymph"Inasmuch as I ever can," Asha replied. "If you ever need help you know where to find it." |
Danielle Thamasa"I won't drag anyone else into this," Natalie said, continuing to walk away. |
echonymph"See you later," Asha called, unable to get herself to say goodby. |
Danielle ThamasaNatalie continued walking away, no longer able to hold her tears in. Part of her wished she had told Tyler she was leaving, but she knew it was better this way. Hopefully the note would be enough. |
echonymphAsha teleported herself back to the dorms, collapsed on her bed and began bawling her eyes out.-Well- Chandra said, watching her, -this doesn't bode well for Lex's health.- |
Danielle ThamasaAfter walking most of the evening and all night long, Natalie caught up with Lex, who was sitting near the edge of the woods, waiting for her. She handed the necklace to him. "From Asha," she said. Then she tossed him his bag and kept on walking."Nat, you need to rest," Lex said. "I'll do it in the taxi," she answered. "We can't afford to waste time." |
echonymphTransforming into a hawk, Tyler flew to the bus station, hoping, if she was running, to perhaps catch her there. The normally soothing sensation of the wind whistling around and through his feathers held no joy for him this time. -Nat, where have you gone?- he thought desparately. Why had she left him? SHe was in such danger and now he couldn't protect her! THe thought made his blood boil a little and he dipped, having trouble remaining in animal form. Landing, he changed behind a dismal shed baddly in need of...being torn down, and jogged the rest of the way to the bus stop, looking around. |
Danielle ThamasaSasha Hayes leaned against the side of the bus station, looking around. It wouldn't be long before the bus would arrive to head for the Academy. She turned and saw a rather attractive young man jog into the station and look around. She sauntered over to him. "Can I help you with something?" |
echonymphHe glanced down at her. Hot chick. Not as hot as Natalie though. "I'm looking for someone I heard was coming here," he said. "About yay high," he demostrated, "strawberry blond, sexy as all get-out?" |
Danielle Thamasa"You are looking for Foxx as well, are you?" she asked. "I don't blame you. There's a pretty penny awarded for whoever finds her." |
echonymphHis deep gaze peirced her, "I've been told that," he said, "But no one would tell me exactly how much. Is she really worth all this trouble?" |
Danielle Thamasa"She was given an assignment and refused to complete it. That makes her a rogue Hunter...We cannot have rogue Hunters somewhere." Sasha paused and stepped closer to him. "Besides, the person who finds Foxx and either brings her in or kills her would have enough money to live richly for the rest of their days." |
echonymph"Really?" he asked, turning on the charm and giving her a dazzeling smile, "And why would she do something like that?" |
Danielle Thamasa"How should I know? Foxx was always one to bend rules as she wished. She's as bad as her father was," Sasha answered, stepping even closer to him. She was now only a few inches away from him. |
echonymphTyler quirked an eyebrow, "What fun is following the rules all the time?" he asked, stepping back and holding out his arm. "Would you like to get some coffee and discuss this further?" |
Danielle ThamasaSasha looked around the bus station. "I guess I could spare a little time before I return to the Academy." She paused and gave a small pout. "I will miss the bus though." |
echonymph"There will be another," he pointed, grinning. By now he had managed to catch the eyes of just about every female with hormones in the station. And some without. If he judged this girl right, that should please her. |
Danielle ThamasaShe shook her head. "There is only one bus in the morning and one bus at night to the Academy." She looked him over. "And if you were from the Academy you would know that. What Hunter School did you come from?" After asking this, she looked around the bus station. As usual everyone was staring at her. And why wouldn't they? She was gorgeous and with the most attractive male she had ever seen. |
echonymphHe gave her a nonsense word in Cherokee, saying it with an air of importance that would probably make her feel like an idiot for not knowing about it. "I was in the area and they told me about this case, but the call was dropped before they could give me the actuall number value on all this, or even much of the details." |
Danielle Thamasa"Then I will fill you in over coffee," Sasha responded, a huge smile on her face. |
echonymphHe smiled just as hugely and offered her his arm again with a gallient bow. |
Danielle ThamasaShe took his arm. "You are far too gentlemanly," she said, grinning. |
echonymph"So they say," he replied, using a tiny hint of magic to urge a taxi thier way. He opened the door for her with a smile. |
Danielle Thamasa"Thank you," she said, sitting down and buckling her seat belt. |
echonymphClosing the door after her, Tyler walked to the other side and got in. "Jack's cafe, please," he said to the driver. Then he looked at her with an ingratiating smile. "Is that alright with you?" |
Danielle ThamasaShe smiled. "Perfect. I have not been to Jack's in ages." |
echonymph"And in whose company have I found myself blessed?" he asked, allowing the slight accent he picked up from his father to flavor his words. |
